At " Email Marketing " seminar
, I met one Mr Stanley
With over 17 years of experience in HR / Recruiting , he is quite knowledgeable
- also advises Corporate on " Talent Acquisition " and Students /
Fresh Graduates / Jobseekers , on " How to appear for Interview "
He
liked what we have done in " CustomizeResume.com " and volunteered to
popularize it amongst Jobseekers
Apparently
, he seems to have kept his word
In
the last one week I have noticed increased activity on CustomizeResume , with ,
>
6/7 new candidate registration
>
4/5 downloads of Resume Blaster app
>
4/5 downloads of My Jobs widget
However
, in last one week , I tried to check the working of My Jobs , a few times but it is NOT working !
Can
you please check this to set it right ?

" Hoarding of the World " page
( design sent yesterday )
When someone arrives on this page , can we display the World Map ( Google )
inside the hoarding , as default ?

" Compose Message " page
Traditionally , book-publishers sat as " Gate-Keepers
" , between Authors and the Readers
As a very powerful " Middlemen " , they dictated their terms to both
( pricing - % age royalty - royalty period etc )
Even after book-selling web sites came up 10 years back , this model was forced
upon them , by book-publishers
Until Amazon came into picture and gradually , changed the rules of the game ,
by :
> Selling books at huge discounts to printed prices
> Allowing many smaller book-publishers to offer their books on Amazon
web site ( Amazon Market )
Now Amazon is trying to " Eliminate "
the middlemen ( the publishers ) , altogether , by allowing /
enabling the Authors to upload their books ( soft copies ) on its site and set
selling prices ( I believe , both for hard copies - which Amazon will print ,
when someone orders it online - and those soft copies meant for Kindle e-book
reader )
Amazon
simply charges its " Commission / Service Fees "
Direct
from Author to the Reader ! Entire
publishing industry is on the verge of elimination !
Some
40 years back , Markrting Guru , Theodor Levitt , famously wrote in his seminal
essay , " Marketing Myopia " ,
"
If you don't make yourself obsolete , then someone else
will "
Most
likely, book publishers never read this article ! - although , after arrival of
Amazon , Barnes and Noble , did try to copy Amazon - without much success since
, by that time Amazon had got entrenched in public psyche , as THE ONLINE BOOK STORE
This
middlemen scenario , continues today with the Advertising
Industry
They
are the Middlemen between the Manufacturers / Businesses and the Consuming Public
They
are the " Gatekeepers " to Print Media
/ TV ads / Hoardings etc. You can reach these media , only thru Ad
Agencies ! Purohits !
Of
late , Mobile Apps Networks and Social Networking web sites and Google / Yahoo
etc are trying to eliminate these middlemen , by
allowing / enabling the Businesses to compose their own Ads ( with Graphics /
Images etc ) on their own and then upload on these sites
They
have even gone one step further than the traditional Publicity / Advertising
Agencies
They
will charge the business , only is some viewer clicks on their ad !
In
B2B , we are also trying to " eliminate " these Gate-Keepers , by allowing / enabling the businesses to Compose
their Ads themselves and then decide WHOM to push these to
What we lack
on B2B , is :
>
The army of clever Copy-Writers and the Creative ( Graphics / Animation
creators ), employed by the Ad Agencies , who bring LIFE to an Ad
Such
" Value Addition " is today ,
missing from our " Compose Message " page
If
we succeed in adding such VALUE ( a " DIY
- Do It Yourself " feature ) on this page , we too can eliminate
the Ad Agencies !
B2B
can then , become an example of " User Generated
Content " , as far as Advertising is concerned !
This
, then must be our IMMEDIATE GOAL , if we
want to overtake , JustDial / BizMax / YellowPages / Getit etc web sites
I
do hope , in the weeks to come , you will come up with such INNOVATIONS on "
Compose Message " page
Pl
take a look at the attachment at the Netcore seminar on " Email Marketing
"
And
also at Netcore's web site to find out whether they already offer such
INNOVATIVE services to clients who use their platform to push lakhs of emails
