FW: Daily Report

As you will notice from attachment , we are picking up speed in compiling database of Chambers of Commerce

It will be ready for uploading on B2B web site by Oct end ( 12,000 records , covering over 100 countries )

In light of the unique “ Value Proposition “ of our FREE service to Companies all over the World , I believe , these Chambers will act to publicize our service amongst their Member Firms ( for which , we will send them a promo email , on 6th Nov )

Therefore , we must simultaneously launch , “ Around the World “ page

As per our telecom a few minutes back , I can visit your office on Wednesday , if Project Plan gets emailed to me tomorrow afternoon

RE: Updated CIR Graphics Tool

Gaurav

This is a considerable improvement in presentation and quite easy to understand / relate

Congrats !

I hope , on Monday , Saumya can show me real resumes rendered with your tool

We have to somehow ensure that each executive being considered ( against a Client Mandate ) , supplies required data in his resume , in a structured tabulation

Vitthal should  NOT  be required to extract such data from a candidate’s Text Resume. It is , both , a time-consuming and error-prone work

Dear Sir,
I have made the necessary modifications as desired:

·         Each horizontal bar in the Gantt Chart now shows the duration in years. This is an overlay over the base label as the X-Axis will continue to show values in days instead of years.
·         The graph now starts with the zero point (0,0) at the bottom-left and starts with the education and climbs upwards towards top-right as we show the progression in education and then in the career path.
·         The age of the candidate (at the time of completion of event/assignment) is shown as a line graph and has been plotted on the secondary axis. It cannot be plotted on the primary axis (X-Axis) since that is being used for the duration of each data point (horizontal bar) of the Gantt Chart. The line-graph data series on the secondary axis has been calibrated to correspond with the primary axis data series.

Dear Saumya,
Please add couple of sample data-sets in the Gantt Chart and send to sir. Call me if required.

Bets Regards,
Gaurav

Dear Sir,
Please allow me to get back to you on this…I will have to do a bit of research about super-imposition of graphs in Excel to achieve this.
I will revert by next week on this.

Gaurav

A good job

Within each horizontal bar , let us show the “ Duration “ in “ Years “ only

Also , let the graph climb upwards , starting from left ( zero co-ordinate ) and going to right

Can we also show the “ Age ( Years ) “ of the candidate on X axis ? It will make it easy to co-relate the “ career progression “ of the candidate

I would appreciate if Saumya can show me couple of actual resumes , AFTER incorporating above changes

Dear Sir,
I have incorporated the changes that were discussed by you and Saumya in this updated sheet (attached).
I have also added a new sheet for generating a Gantt chart which covers educational qualifications and various jobs across time and their respective durations.

Best Regards,
Gaurav

Take a look at

Also the attachment

Yesterday , I spent some time with Saumya looking at the Job Duration Pie-Chart that she had developed using your tool

I have suggested a few , minor changes

However , after looking at what we have earlier done in IndiaRecruiter.net and the Analytical Graphical Profiles ( of a registered candidate ) that our site develops , automatically , Saumya felt that , perhaps it would be nice if the CIR incorporates ,

Ø Education Quali Graph

Ø Career Progression Graph

Similar to what we had done in IndiaRecruiter.net

I believe , resume sent by a candidate does contain the required data to be able to plot these graphs , using some tool similar to what you have developed earlier . If any data is missing , I am sure , it is collected during the interview

As far as “ Level of Education “ is concerned , you will find the drop-list at the “ Submit Resume “ page / form in CustomizeResume.com

You don’t need the candidate to spell-out the “ Levels “ . You know them yourself

As far as “ Designation Levels “ are concerned , you can find the relevant drop-list at “ Job Suggest “ page / search-form on CustomizeResume.com

But,

As Saumya rightly pointed out , same designation in different organizations may correspond to very different “ Designation Level “

Eg :

A “ Manager “ level in a very  large company may correspond to a “ Vice-President “ level in a very small company

Hence , there is plenty of scope for an argument , if you were to draw a Graphical Ascendancy ( Step Ladder Graph ) , where “ Y “ axis shows “ Designation LEVEL “

There can be no argument , if you were to simply show / write , the “ Actual Designation “ of the candidate , on each STEP of the Step Ladder ( each vertical STEP separated by 1 Cm ) – and the length of each STEP corresponding to the “ No of Years put-in “ at that level / in that organization

But such a visualization , ( where “ X “ axis is candidate’s AGE ) , would still be a vast improvement over the TIME LINE that you are currently showing

Feel free to ask for clarifications

Gaurav is based in our Delhi Office

He was asked to work on a project to add some graphical rendering to a candidate’s resume , before we forward it to our client

What you see in the attachment is the TOOL that he has developed

We plan to incorporate this in our processes

PS

CIR stands for “ Candidate Interview Report “ which we send to our client

RE: Daily Report

Sanjivani,

Good job by both Tushar and Ujwala

Convey to them , my congrats !

At this rate , we may even succeed in completing entire 12,000 by end of Oct – in time for launch of B2B web site

That would go a long way to popularize our site in short time

Hcp

CC: Shuklendu / Nitin

Yesterday , between them , Ujwala and Tushar managed to create 374 records of Chambers of Commerce , taking the total to over 800
