Subject: Regarding Magic Cube Search

Hello Uncle,

I still disagree about the feature in Magic Cube Search where we display counts as Zero in the grid for Domain Vs Skills or Industry Vs Function

Following are my arguments
1)    In case of IT jobs, Domain vs Skills, there won’t ever be skills as 3DMAX, Adobeillustrator, Adobephotoshop, AIX etc etc. etc. etc.  required for domain Advertising/Publicity/PR
2)    Likewise this is true for other domains and skills as well. User will un-necessary shy away the moment he see’s 0 appearing in so many rows and columns.
3)    Few would think this is even useless where we displaying 0 for domains and skills when there wont ever be an ABC skill required or needed for a XYZ domain. Thus it doesn’t make sense to put count as 0 in the table.
4)    Its like we never would place a train tire to a flight. Flight / Aeroplane will always have rubber tyres. Same is true for these counts.

I still don’t know the reason why you want to have count as ZERO for such cases.

Hello,

We are an Indian family business that is focused in 2 areas.   A) General trading and supply China management services and B) Manufacturing and Sales of Mobile Air conditioners and Evaporative Air Coolers under the exclusive and global license of Honeywell.

We want to further professionalize the business - which will surely help us commercialize the opportunities we have in the future.   To do this, we are looking to recruit people for 2 positions.   One is a CEO/COO and the other is Head of Sales.

Can you please tell me more about your company?  The costs related to such a search? Your domain expertise? etc..

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Sanjay Varma

Yeah absolutely and I agree.

CustomizeResume needs a re-architecture in few areas if we want to shape it up as a mobile based job portal.

Future development of CustomizeResume must take shape in this direction. Some years ago we made a beginning with world-wide-jobs

Rohan

Obviously these persons must be “ downloading “ resumes without being “ paid subscribers “

And as far as ‘job advts ‘ are concerned, RSS feeds are provided by the job portals themselves.

What are the ‘ interfaces ‘ thru which

Ø  Recruiters would be viewing resumes ? resume-alerts ?

Ø  Jobseekers would be viewing Job Advts ? job-alerts ?

In course of time, we should enable them to do so on

Ø  small screens of mobile phones ( in two years, all mobiles can be expected to become ‘ smart phones ‘ with 3G multimedia capabilities )

Ø  screens of Netbooks ( iPad  like )

Ø  screens of Notebooks

Ø  screens of e-book readers

Ø  screens of  regular desktops

Ø  screens of  internet TV s ( each will have its own / unique IP address, as soon as IP V6 is launched )

Ø  screens of  e-newspapers ( same size as current papers except that it will be made of ‘ media-receiving ‘ plastic sheet which you buy only once ! )

Ø  screens of  regular movie theatres

Ø  screens of roadside hoardings

In nutshell, we should be able to “ narrow-cast “ jobalerts and resume-alerts to ANY device which is connected to the internet ( which, in 5 years, would be ALL devices ).

And even small-time newspaper publishers in small towns catering to a few thousands people too, should be able to receive from our website, a JOB-ADVT feed for printing in their papers.

We attempted to do this, partially, in world-wide-jobs.com but could not succeed because the service-providers with whom we entered into agreements ( BSNL /MTNL /Airtel/Reliance ) just never bothered to promote this value-added service !

This time around, we must find another way to deliver jobalerts and resume-alerts so that we do not depend upon the service providers.

RE: RG Backup Process

Reena

I am glad about your initiative to streamline this entire process of back-ups and make it work like a clockwork.

You will recall that nearly 8 s/w developers worked for over one year to develop / launch Recruitguru.com. But, when we recently wanted to incorporate RecruitGuru’s parsing logic into CustomizeResume, we discovered that some files of that code are missing !

Let us ensure that this never happens again.

But a New Process had been decided to collect Recent Backup, Monthly in our External Storage Device.

I.e. by personally going to Reliance IDC.

Local Server’s Backup and Online Code for CusotimizeResume Website on External Storage Device.
Reliance Server’s Backup is kept at Server’s itself i.e. at IDC.
Will Follow the new process to have Reliance Server’s Backup on our External Storage Device.

RE: RG Backup Process- 1

Is it true that Google Desktop application , once installed, regularly indexes all the documents on your harddisk and make these documents “ searchable “ just like ISYS ? I believe LUCENT >NET does the same. Both these softwares are FREE.  Question is : are these superior to ISYS ?
