Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

With regards,

RE: B2B web site Targets

Shuklendu

As far as the updating of the " Corporate Email IDs Update " is concerned , the tool developed in ADMIN section , is not of much help

Once I tried using this - with help from Kailas / Sanjivani - and could not understand how it works ; or help , if it works

The way it is designed , it will take an entire day , to find / insert , correct Email Ids for 50 / 70 companies !

At this rate , it will take ages to correct all

Thereafter , I sent to you , a detailed proposal - as also explained during my last visit to your office - how we need to go about this task , so that it gets done in one day

Of course , it would need writing some simple software

But , I do agree that 50 % bounce rate is BAD  !

But even if we succeed in replacing existing , wrong email IDS with such , " Most Likely " email ids as ,

>  Contact@
>  Feedback @
>  Sales @
>  Marketing @....etc

( based on %age occurrences of each of these in our database ) ,

we will never be sure that the RIGHT persons will receive / read these

But , we will know that these will not bounce

HCP Sir,

About the revision in target dates, the team says that it has happened due to new changes being asked before the scheduled changes. Since new changes have been taken up instead of scheduled changes, the scheduled target dates have shifted later.

e.g.
Compose Message Page changes were scheduled for 10-Nov-14, they were delivered on 10-Nov-14.
Registration Page changes were scheduled for 14-Nov-14, delivered on 14-Nov-14.
Blast Messages – City-wise Page changes were scheduled for 28-Nov-14, were ready on 28-Nov-14 and uploaded on29-Nov-14. This was even though the logic of city selection had to be re-written from multi checkbox-based to drop-down based.

After this, we were scheduled to take up ‘Blast Messages – Industry-wise’ and finish it by 12-Dec-14.
But, instead of this, we were asked to make following changes in ‘Blast Messages – City-wise’ page
·        Modification of Cover Letter
·        ‘Blast Message – City-wise’ – on selection of city, show popup of industry-wise tabulation of companies
·        Extract tabulation of City-wise No. of Companies in India from database
·        ‘Blast Message – City-wise’ – view for Casual Visitor

Of these, 1st 3 changes are already delivered. Last change is scheduled for 19-Dec-14.

Changes to ‘Blast Messages – Industry-wise’ will be taken up only after that. Hence its schedule and schedules of subsequent modules have shifted.

Having said this, I will still ask Nitin and Satish to review that and see if they can finish them earlier.

About promoting B2B Message Blaster, I had voiced my concern about the quality of our e-mail id database in our last meeting. Whatever blasts have occurred, there doesn’t seem to be any proper response to our subscribers. The mails that have come back are bounced mails or ‘… no longer works here’ mails or ‘out of office’ auto-responders.

We are pushing ‘Make In India’ to enable our service from their web site. If at all they agree to our contention & do that and the foreign companies use that service, they may be totally dissatisfied with the response. If they complain, Government of India may come heavily on us due to loss of their face.

I feel we should clean up our database and establish it in private sector first before offering to such  high-profile Government sites as ‘Make In India’.

Since this is our core offering, I feel having good quality database is very important.

I of course defer to your judgment. We will be guided by your instructions.

Regards

Shuklendu

Despite my spending several hours daily for sending out Promo Emails , for the past 6 months , B2B has still not caught the imagination of the Corporate

My only hope is to get Amitabh Kant to agree to upload on MakeInIndia web site , that page titled " Database of Indian Companies "

Considering that it is a Government Web site , I do not have much hope of this coming through

In which case , B2B will need to succeed without leaning on MakeInIndia support

That is only possible , if we introduce NEW / USEFUL features , in quick succession

If we still fail to generate decent revenue , we may need to re-consider our strategy

I am sure , you appreciate that , we cannot sustain incurring losses for  long . We don't have VC funding or deep pockets

I request your help
