English Goddess

English Language as a “ Goddess “ ?

To worship the “ Goddess “ of English language, citizens of Lakhimpur-Khiri, a small town in a remote region of India, have contributed to build a temple for the “ Goddess “ of English language and installed a 3 feet tall statue of the “ Goddess “ !

Then adorned the temple walls with symbols / notations / equations of Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics and idioms – proverbs of English language.

Poor citizens of Lakhimpur-Khiri are convinced that they have remained backwards due to their lack of knowledge of English language. No one is ready to even interview them !

They do not want to join the ranks of 38 million unemployed Indian graduates who have registered on 900 + State Employment Exchanges.

Who knows, English could well prove to be a “ Goddess that delivers “ !

I need your help

Dear Colleagues,

Ø  I hope you are aware of Job Alert On Mobile – JAM feature on our website.
Ø  To promote this feature amongst jobseekers, we will send out a SMS to some 10000 candidates starting 10 am today. Over the next few days, we will send this SMS to some 4.6 lakh candidates.
Ø  For this bulk SMS, we will use the service of
                                SMS Country India Pvt. Ltd
Ø  I need your help to promote JAM. It will take less than 15 minutes at the most.

Here is how:

1>         Around 10:30 am today, from your mobile send SMS
jam<space>alert        to     9756510001

2>         You should get a reply in 2 minutes. Forward this reply to anyone amongst your friends / acquaintances (but certainly not to any Senior Executives, who you have come to know professionally). Request him / her to forward this SMS, in turn, to his / her friends / acquaintances.

Can we possibly start a chain-reaction?
Can we start a “buzz” about JAM?
This can happen only if the person, to whom you forward the reply with a request to push it further, will do so because this request came from “you”. This may require a follow-up phone call to ascertain.
Ø  It is possible that the person you forward your reply may phone-up to inquire what is JAM all about. Do, therefore, spend 5 minutes reading the JAM Page. In case of doubt, please feel free to ask Alex / Priya.

With Regards,
HCP

P.S:
In your moments of boredom-but without compromising your current responsibilities – What can YOU do personally to promote JAM? I would like to hear. (Don’t ask for a budget!)

INVITING 8 MILLION FOREIGN COMPANIES ?

Shri Amitabh Kant ,

Secretary
DIPP
Ministry of Commerce
Government of India

----------------------------------------------------

Dear Shri Kant

MakeInIndia  web site is, indeed , an innovative initiative

But how  to get 8 MILLION Foreign Companies to visit this site  ?

And which 8 MILLION foreign companies  ?

And how to send across this invitation  ?

Here is my suggestion :

*  On........ www.B2BmessageBlaster.com....., we have an online database of 8,000 + International Chambers of Commerce , located in 5,332 cities around the World

*  It would be reasonable to assume that , on an average , each of these Chambers , has approx 1,000 firms as their MEMBERS

*  That adds up to  8,000,000  Member Firms

* After REGISTERING  DIPP  on B2B (  Nature of Organization = " Government Depts / Agencies / Statutory Bodies "  ) ,  Blast  following message ( suitably modified , as deemed necessary ) , to these 8,000 + Chambers

That should take , no more than 2 hours !

If there are any questions , feel free to phone me ( 0-98,67,55,08,08 )

Dear Mr Singh ,

Following is for your consideration

*  "  DATABASE  OF  INDIAN  COMPANIES "

You may consider providing such a link on MakeInIndia web site ( right at the top , on every page )

Any visitor , clicking on that link will see a page , as per Attachment A

Since this is a plain text document , it should take less than a day to upload

*  "  INDIAN  COMPANIES REGISTRATION "

You may consider providing such a link on MakeInIndia web site

Any executive ( of an Indian Company ) clicking on that link , will see a page as per Attachment B

Such registrations will help MakeInIndia to gradually build-up a comprehensive database of lakhs of Indian

    Companies

In course of time , this database can be made " searchable " by Foreign visitors

If need be , my technical team would be happy to help design the necessary DATABASE STRUCTURE , for this

page

If there are any questions , feel free to phone ( 0-98,67,55,08,08 )

Awaiting your feedback and with regards ,

Dear  Team / MakeInIndia,

Thank you for your prompt response

I await the feedback from Shri Singh

While on the subject , you may wish to consider :

>  On every page of MakeInIndia web site , providing some counters ( such as HISTAT / LIVE TRAFFIC FEED etc , - the kind you find on B2B ) , to give some idea of the traffic . These are  FREE  and take only a few minutes to install

Since MakeInIndia's primary target is Foreign Companies ,"  Live Traffic Feed   " will show you the countries from which your visitors are arriving

>  In fact , it is possible to install separate counters on each page , which show you who / how many visitors visited that particular page ( somewhat like Google Analytics )

>  Using some API ( from Google Analytics ? ) , you may even show to all the visitors , how many minutes did these visitors spend on any particular page , on an average. This will tell you what information , your visitors are MOST interested in

>  One feature which I consider of UTMOST importance , is a 24 hour LIVE CHAT facility with your visitors ( something which Govt of India can easily afford and which will go a long way in establishing a VERY PERSONAL and COMMITTED relationship with your visitors )

>  You may also wish to consider installing a CHAT ROOM ( monitored by ADMIN ) , where visitors can ask questions / share their site-experiences and generally form a COMMUNITY

I have no doubt , implementing above-mentioned features will make a user-friendly MakeInIndia web site

with regards ,

Ref : Our telecon this morning

Dear Mrinal,

This has reference to my email yesterday, requesting a meeting with your business team.

I hope you had an opportunity to visit www.CustomizeResume.com

ARPU in Sept. 2003 was ` 516 /-

Last month, it was down to

·         ` 122 ( for GSM )
·         ` 74   ( for CDMA )

 ( See Attachment )

Amongst many VAS that you must be trying to promote amongst your 115 million subscribers,
Job Alert on Mobile ( JAM ) has the highest probability of Success.

My mobile ( 9867550808 ) is now working.

Awaiting your response.

With Regards,
Hemen Parekh.

Dear Bindhu

Early last month, you phoned re: termination of Agreement between

Ø   Reliance Communication Infra. Ltd  ( RCIL ), and
Ø   RecruitGuru

This was entered between us on 12th May 2006, re: delivery of our Value Added Service ( VAS ),

           “ Job Alert on MobileJAM

Using RCIL SMS gateway [ short code # 258 ].

During our telecom, I mentioned that we are about to re-launch JAM thru our new website

                        www.CustomizeResume.com

We did this on Oct. 06, 2010

New JAM service can be accessed even from a low-end non-GPRS connected phones, despite the fact that a candidate actually views “ My Job Alert “ page on our website !

I believe Reliance Communications has over 115 million mobile subscribers, many of them having low-end CDMA sets and living in remote corners of India where there is hardly any internet penetration.

As a result of virtual absence of internet connection, these subscribers have no access to millions of jobs posted on job-sites.

With the launch of JAM, now they can, not only “ access “ jobs from their low-end non-GPRS mobiles but they can even “ Apply “ from their mobiles !

If only they can come to know about our FREE  service, your 115 million subscribers could generate some 500 million SMS everyday !

I believe JAM holds the promise of raising ARPU from Rs.74 to Rs.100 !

Can I have an opportunity to come over and explain in person ?

With regards

WHY B2B ?

WHY   B2B  ?

Dear   Executive

This is same as asking :

Why market  ?  Why advertise  ?

Answer  ( to , " Why B2B ? " )  is simple

There are dozens of web sites which will allow you to email your Marketing Message to your potential clients

But , to only to ONE client at a time !

Whereas  B2B  enables you to

>   Compose in advance / save / store , any number of Marketing
     Messages

>    Then , with just a SINGLE CLICK , send those Messages to
dozens ( or even hundreds ) of your clients , at ONE GO !
Do  8  days worth of emailing in  8  minutes   !

And when it comes to targeting , you get to choose ( select ) from ,

*   2,27,000+ Indian Companies
*   arranged according to 52 Industry-Sectors
*   located in 2000+ cities

OR

*   8,000 + International  Chambers of Commerce  in 5332 cities
of the World , in 190+ countries

Your options are :

>  Passively wait for your potential customers to " discover " you

OR

>  Get  " pro-active / aggressive " and reach them thru B2B

then  REGISTER  now

FW: A MISSED OPPORTUNITY ? FW 2698 / 3303 / 3356

Dear Team India :

Some 35 years ago , when I was General Manager ( Powai Works / Mumbai ) , at Larsen & Toubro , I had an opportunity to host a lunch for the Commerce Minister of Canada

After lunch , the Minister pulled out 4 / 5 small , neatly labeled glass bottles from his brief case

Each bottle contained samples of crude oil from different oil fields of Canada

Minister went on to explain :

*      Chemical Composition / Specific Gravity /  Quality of each sample ( eg:  Sulphur content / Sweet / Sour  etc )

*      Daily Output of each field ( Barrels / day )

*      Spot Market prices / Long Term Contract rates

*      Delivery Commitments.... etc

Then , he went ahead to distribute to L&T executives present , brochures of the private Canadian Companies , engaged in exploration / production of Crude Oil in Canada

And answered every single question with the knowledge of an ace SALESMAN of those companies !

There was no doubt , he firmly believed that his primary job while travelling abroad , was to " SELL  CANADA "

Providing on MakeInIndia web site , a page called , " DATABASE  OF  INDIAN  COMPANIES " , may not improve India's rank on " Ease of Doing Business " from 134 to 50 , as desired by our Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi , but I have no doubt , it will be the FIRST STEP !

It was with this in mind that , over the past 2 days , I have sent out attached email to some 365 Indian Ambassadors / Consul Generals / Trade Commissioners

Awaiting your early response ,

With regards ,

How will history judge us ?

By the opportunities that we grabbed and ran , or the opportunities that we missed out  on ?

Should  MakeInIndia / DIPP , decide to reject my proposal ( attached ) , I will respect their decision

JAM

Dear  Revathi

Good Morning !

It seems problem with Mumbai SMS gateway persists.

I sent jam alert sms this morning at 7:30 but no reply.

Last evening, I did receive reply against” jam alert” when it was sent on 5667771. But when I sent “jam detail “on 9756510001, there was no reply.

I do hope your service provider manages to solve the problem this morning.

Even if he does, I believe you should immediately tie-up with one or two alternate suppliers. If jobseekers are made to wait for more than a minute ( to get replies ), then they will, most probably, never return ! Whereas, JAM is not a “ mission-critical “ application, we have only ONE chance to make a “ first good impression “ !

As far as availability of JAM to jobseekers in other countries is concerned, you mentioned that you already have “ International API “ for USA and UK. I would highly appreciate if you can configure JAM for USA / UK at your earliest.

This can be followed-up by obtaining APIs for Canada / Australia / New Zealand / Gulf Countries where there is a sizable population of Indian Professionals- many of whom are now keen to return to India. It appears that due to their economies in bad shape, job opportunities in these countries are drying up.

If Mumbai Gateway problem gets resolved this morning, we propose to start promotional SMS blast to 460,000 candidates today evening , using the services of SMSCountry.

I appreciate your unwavering attention to our joint mission to make job-related info available to millions of low-end mobile owners in remote parts of India.

MakeInIndia cannot Say

Dear  Ambassador / Consul General / Trade Commissioner  :

As far as  TOURISM / HOSPITALITY  industry is concerned ,

MakeInIndia web site tells us :

    #   In 2012-13 , 6.97 Million Foreign and 1036 Million domestic tourists travelled thru India

    #   India boasts of 30 World Heritage sites but only 10 Foreign Investors in this industry

    #   Industry is expected to grow at 8 % per annum

    #   Government allows 100 % FDI under automatic route

Now try asking MakeInIndia web site (  at Query / FAQ  ), following question :

How many Indian Companies are operating in TOURISM / HOSPITALITY industry ? "

It cannot say  !

Ask the same question to.... www.B2BmessageBlaster.com....

It will tell you that , in India , some 5,309 companies ( located in 173 cities ) are engaged in this industry ( see below )

( - kind of instant answer that Foreign Investors expect ! )

Then  B2B  will also enable any Foreign Investor to send-out his message ( " We are interested in forming a JV with you " ), to a few
or a few hundreds of these Indian Companies , with just a few clicks , in a matter of minutes  !

Leave it to B2B to deliver these email-messages to selected Indian Companies , within 24 hours  !

If there are TOURISM / HOSPITALITY Companies in your Country of posting , who , you believe may be interested in investing in India , B2B will be happy to act as their " GATEWAY  TO  INDIA  "
