This might interest you – not so much for producing 1000 litres of drinking water out of sea water but more for 25 Kg of PURE salt this device can produce ( as a bye product ) every day
Without need for any pressure or ANY energy ( not even free solar energy )
I first sent this e-mail to our Policy Makers and then forwarded it to many Scientists – Officers of CSMCRI ( Bhavnagar ). Of course, no response , as expected !
If interested in “ trying out / experimenting “ , you may directly write to Nanoseen CEO, Bartosz
You may mention my name but what would be even more important is to write about your Company ( History / factory / no of workers / daily production of salt / area etc )
Regards,
Batuk Kaka
PS : Bela gave me your email IDs

Subject: FW: Dear Shri Harsh Shringlaji : Procuring Technology for “ CASCADE WATER FILTRATION “ or " How to Avoid WATER WARS "
Dear Friends,
I urge you to take a close look at this technology , in view of the anticipated water scarcity all over India, in next 2 / 3 years
Standard / conventional desalination plants are unsuitable for our needs, considering :
Ø These cost a huge amount
Ø They take years to construct
Ø Consume high amount of electricity ( further pollution )
Ø Per litre cost of desalinated water is prohibitively high / unaffordable
Ø These need to be located near sea-coast and need vast piping network

Procuring Technology for “ CASCADE WATER FILTRATION “
Dear Shri Harsh Shringlaji
( Foreign Secretary – psfs@mea.gov.in )
Congratulations for setting up KRA ( Key Result Areas ) for our Ambassadors in various countries ( especially, in relation to “ procuring high technology “ ) , as reported below :
Indian envoys and mission officers to be judged on 3Ts / Hindustan Times / 04 Feb 2022
Extract :
Ø Foreign secretary Harsh Shringla has written to all mission heads that Indian embassies will function as a team and all officers will be judged on parameters of enhancement of trade, procurement of technology and selling India as a tourism destination.
Ø On August 6, 2021, PM Modi has addressed the heads of missions virtually with the focus on enhancing Indian exports, procuring high end technology for India, and promoting India as a global tourism destination.
MY TAKE :
Technologies that can help us solve our myriad problems, are under development ( or already available commercially ), all over the World.
It is very likely that some of these news might escape your attention. In turn, you may not be able to alert our ambassadors to inquire / evaluate these for possible “ acquisition “ by India ( by Indian PSUs / Private Sector Firms / Research Labs etc )
As a citizen, I believe it is my duty to bring to your notice, such technology-related news whenever I come across one
Here is one – from : Poland
[ A] Background
# 842 000 people die every year from diarrhea caused by the consumption of unsafe drinking water
# More than 2.8 billion people in 48 countries will face water stress or scarcity conditions by 2025
# 80% of the illnesses in developing countries result from unhealthy water and/or sanitation systems
[ B ] Technology ( brief description ) :
The innovative technology, called NanoseenX uses specially created nano-membranes which have the ability to trap impurities and salt in their pores and are arranged in cascades inside a cylindrical device in order to utilise the force of gravity to carry out the filtration, removing the need for the use of energy or pressure.
It is world’s first technological solution for the purification and desalination of water without the need for an energy source, with potential to help solve worldwide freshwater shortages.
Transform salt water into clean drinking water in the space of just 2 minutes at a cost of just 0.5 USD for 1,000 litres a day from a single installation. ( 3.7 paise per litre )
