Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

FW: I Need Your Help

 Dear Shri Pankaj Chadraji,

I got your email ID from my son Vishesh Parekh and thought of approaching you for help in the following matter

Way back in 1986, I was a member of a committee appointed by Maharashtra Government to prepare a PROJECT REPORT for setting up :

BabaSaheb Ambedkar Technology University ( BATU )

As a part of that report ( mostly penned by me ), we also prepared a PERT chart , showing various activities and the CRITICAL PATH

I preserved a hard copy of that report, but lost the chart itself

Although these activities are listed in the tabulation below, I am hopelessly out-dated to decide , which of these are :

#   Parallel activities which can be carried out simultaneously, and

#  Sequential activities which can be started only upon completion of another given activity ( dependency )

I would highly appreciate if one of your associate ( with domain knowledge of Academic Institutions ) is able to construct a PERT chart by pugging-in the data ( “ Average “ time ? ) from the tabulation [ all figures are “ No of Weeks “ ]

Although it is highly likely that , the “ Time Taken for an Activity “ might have dramatically changed after passage of 36 years, I suggest your associate use the old data shown in tabulation

When ready , I propose sending this chart to UGC chairman, Shri Jagadesh Kumarji , to whom I have sent my following blog as e-mail :

Higher Educational Reforms ………………….[ 08 March 2022 ]

Of course, while forwarding this chart, I will thankfully acknowledge the name of your associate

With regards,

Hemen Parekh
