Perfect Handshake

Jobseekers take note!

According to Geoffery Battie, Head of Psychology Sciences, at University of Manchester, the formula for a perfect handshake is:

PH =

    ? ( e2+ve2 )( d2 ) + ( cg + dr ) 2 + ? { ( 4<s>2 )( 4<p>2 ) } 2
    +(vi+t+te ) 2 + { ( 4<e>2 ) ( 4<du>2 ) } 2

He could have simply said:

Recruiters just don’t like

Ø    Sweaty palms

Ø    Limp wrists

Ø    Gripping too hard

Ø    Lack of eye-contact

According to him, the handshake formula for impressing HR Managers comprises

Ø    Cool dry palms

Ø    Complete grip

Ø    Firm squeeze

Ø    Medium vigor

Ø    Right hand

Ø    No longer than 3 seconds

In these days of rampant unemployment and few interview calls, jobseekers cannot afford to overlook any tip!

Hello Mr Rohan,

As  discussed  this afternoon, pl use the URL  http://www.siteonmobile.com

We have created a sample tasklet(contact address) from your website customizeresume.com  due to  network error encountered while using the user name and password given to us.

Pl  choose the Tasklet  'contactus' listed in our Gallary tab.  The right hand side panel will display the SMS and voice codes for a given TaskLet. Dial the number and key in the extension code for the TaskLet, OR send in the SMS string specific to the TaskLet. The website id is 195 which is displayed in the right hand side pannel.

We would like to add you to our list of  premier partners for SiteOnMobile Beta product.  As a part of this program, we will work with you to decide and create SMS and voice interfaces to selected services on your website. This will help you reach out to your customers who are not accustomed to using the Internet.

SiteOnMobile enables people with even a simple low end phone  to access content and services on your website. This Beta Partnership is currently a free service.

Please do let us know if you are interested in partnering with HP labs  India.

Thanks & Regards
Siteonmobile Team

Dear Shanthi

Team SiteonMobile

Yesterday we received from you the following link:

Many thanks

Using this link, our Technical Advisor , Rohan Daxini tried to create a Tasklet but could not succeed.

With this latest message from you , he will try once again.

Rohan’s phone numbers are :

( Off ) 022-40,15,15,31

(Mob ) 99,67,80,05,98

I wonder if we can have your phone no ( or even better, your Skype ID ) so that we can share our problems in real time.

We strongly believe that being able to “ access “ their perfectly matching jobs from their mobiles and then being able to “ Apply Online “ against any of those jobs directly from their mobiles, will be of immense benefit to millions of jobseekers in remote areas of our country where internet penetration is very poor / non-existent. In words of author Clayton Christensen ( “ Seeing What is Next “), these jobseekers are the “ Non-Consumers “ of job-portals ( see attachment Competing Against Non-Consumption.jpg ).

With your help, I am confident to be able to provide to these non-consumers, a “ Level Playing Field “.

Equality

Unemployed Girls, Beware !

Here are some findings of Pew Research Center’s Global Attitude Project ( in association with the International Herald Tribune – July 2010 ) :

Ø    There is a pronounced gap between a belief in the equality of the sexes and how that translates into reality.

Ø    In China, India, Indonesia and Jordan, equal-rights supporters think, most of the adjustments necessary to establish equality have already been made.

Ø    In nations ( Europe / USA ) where equal rights are already mandated, women seem stymied by a lack of real progress.

Ø    More than 50% in 10 of 22 countries said that when jobs are scarce, they should go to men.

As a blessed grand-father of 2 job-seeking girls, I am highly depressed.

And you can blast it in stages, over a period of days / weeks / months.

Ø                when did you blast ( date )

Ø                which of these Companies / Recruitment Agencies actually opened / viewed your resume !

( this feature will be introduced in near future )

So, no risk of duplication / embarrassment  !

I wish you Good Luck ..

happy 2

Happy

A British Survey of employed people (July 2010) found :

Ø  People earning  50,000  Pounds annually were “ happy “ with life overall

Ø  People earning  70,000  Pounds annually were “ less than happy “ with their lot !

Will someone survey and answer :

How happy is a person who has been unemployed / jobless for over 2 years and who suddenly gets a job–offer of  7,000 Pounds ?

With 70,000 pounds, can we make 10 jobseekers ecstatic ?

With 70,000 pounds, by how much can we raise the “ Sum-Total “ of happiness in the world ?

Ask unemployed.

Invite for using Tasklet

Dear Madam / Sir,
A few days back I sent you an email requesting invitation to display HP Tasklet on Customize Resume.
Today, we deliver daily / weekly job alerts to some 1259 candidates through email. A click on the link (in email) brings them to their own My Job Alert Page (see attachment).
Using Tasklet, we would like jobseekers to be enabled to access this page by sending SMS from their mobiles. That would be a great convenience – especially for millions of jobseekers who have low-end mobile phones but neither a PC nor an internet connection.
As mentioned in my earlier mail, we had a similar application available through our website www.world-wide-jobs.com
For want of support from the mobile service providers with whom we had signed agreements (BSNL, MTNL, Airtel, Reliance), we had to shut down this service.
You may however view this (though non-functional) at   www.world-wide-jobs.com
I await your early reply.
With Regards,
Hemen Parekh.

Can you help me ?

Mr. Sridhar Seshadri
Head of Online Sales and Operation
Google India

Dear Mr. Seshadri ,

Google gets into business consulting for SMEs

I refer to this article in  DNA Money ( July, 05,2010 ), where you say,

“ My discussion is mostly on what kind of topline and bottomline is he looking at. I start from this perspective and work backwards. The moment you get it, they love it.”

We are a small company ( staff of 2 ) and struggling to build traffic to our website

                        www.CustomizeResume.com

( Do visit   Google  loves  us  )

And we have no money to spend on Google Adwords , since all of our online services are free, both to jobseekers and to recruiters. No revenue for last 7 years !

Lack of funds was also the reason I had to shut down my earlier websites :

And  www.IndiaRecruiter.net  is struggling to survive !

I wonder if you can help.
