Ashok,
After considerable hesitation ( trepidation ? ), I finally managed to ( free ) translate my original English version of “ Vasavdatta “ at the following link
My regards to Asha and other members of your family
Incidentally , I contracted HERPES virus on entire left leg, some 3 months back and , have literally gone thru hell with pain / nausea / lack of energy / deep depression etc
Translating my old English / Gujarati poems in Hindi, is my way of staying sane !

Dear Batukbhai,
In that case it is even more beautiful. Bapuji had included Abhisaar in his very first book 'કુરબાનીની કથાઓ' as a prose piece from Tagore's Katha o Kaahini. He wrote the poem much later.

Dear Batukbhai,
I loved your Abhisaar translation. Beautifully done.
The Gujarati text has obviously not copied well from my website. Practically unreadable. I am attaching a copy of my personally typed Word document.
Also, the 'આત્મકથા' pdf I had promised that would be easier to load and read.
Really enjoyed the couple of hours Asha and I could spend with you and Bharatibhabhi. I will try my absolute best to bring Bela/Lilli and Sagar/Rebekah to see you.
Affectionately,
Ashok
