Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

e: TRANSLATING FEATURES

As discussed over phone, pl proceed with this feature as per your convenience

In the meantime,  can you please implement that all language names are visible in existing drop lists, so that visitors know upfront all options

Turning only the answer into another language is a breeze, but transforming the entire app is quite a time-consuming job. It needs more time and effort. On the bright side, when it comes to the API, there are some free open-source libraries out there that can help with the translation process.

Kishan ,

Yesterday , I wrote to you about placing . at the top or bottom of our home page , “ Language Links “ , clicking on any will translate the entire site into that selected language

The link above is an example of a portal which was developed by Shuklendu Baji ( a friend of Vishesh ) in 2015

I am sure by now , technology must have advanced a lot , to enable this feature with considerable ease

After you have investigated various options , do let me know which software / API , you plan to use it for this – and its cost

Of course , in the link above , there are only 9 links , whereas we want 8+16 = 24 links , which may be difficult to spread out along the width of our page

Another RELATED matter :

As far as those droplists for language selection ( Select Language > Indian > Global ) are concerned , Vishesh thinks ( and I agree ), that all those 8 and 16 “  language-names  “ are concerned , these should ALL be visible simultaneously when a visitor clicks on the down-pointing arrows ( English – India / English-UK )

This UP=FRONT VISIBILITY will show the visitors what are her options . She does not have to keep going down to discover her options

QUESTION :

Is there some clever method to COMBINE this TWO similar requirements ? Viz : ( A ) Translating the entire website ( B ) Translating the answer ?

Where do you propose to “ place / display “ these links / droplists , so as not to clutter up the U / I ?
