Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

Dear Hemen,

This is a mobile first initiative. The site has to be kept extremely light in content.

We will be happy to do it on DIPP.com

Too much content will make it too heavy.

Regards,

Amitabh Kant

Subject: YOUR CLARION CALL TO START UPS

Dear Amitabh :

It was with great interest that I read your article ( India Start Up On The Path To Self-Reliance ), in yesterday’s ET

You wrote :

“ The government is growing more and more cognizant of the fact that it should be facilitative and act as a catalyst to provide greater momentum to this movement “

In his speech yesterday , Shri Modiji spoke of the resolve to build a “ New India “ by 2022 , and how everyone can – and must – contribute

That reminded me of my proposal ( see attachment ) to launch a portal for “ knowledge / expertise “ transfer from successful large organizations to 51 million MSME of India

I am happy to inform that Shri A M Naik ( Chairman , L&T ) has agreed to allocate necessary resources for development of a portal named :   www.EmpowerMSME.com

When ready by end of next month , our idea is to persuade ASSOCHAM to take-over its hosting / maintenance / marketing

We feel ASSOCHAM , with its membership of large organized sector companies , is ideally placed to persuade / motivate them to come forward with uploading their KNOWLEDGE  DOCUMENTS ( see attachment ) on this portal

I would highly appreciate your suggestions / guidance in this matter

Is it possible to persuade Shri Modiji to launch this ?

With Regards,

hemen  parekh

Dear Amitabh;

Although I try to keep track of your thinking on public policy, through TV / Web / News Papers , it is never “ up to date “ !

Just read your views ( re Mobile Wallet , BHIM ) , in Business Line ( 09 June ) , where you say :

The fintech revolution must come from the private sector . We ( in government ), have done our bit on innovation by bringing out BHIM and BHIM Aadhar

The challenge is to ensure that we can take rural India into financial inclusion

… three years from now, all Indians with smartphones will be a ‘ walking ATM

While fully appreciating your vision for “ financial inclusion of rural India “ , I believe that will happen ONLY when BHIM becomes , “ voice activated “ , through some kind of ChatBot , as described in :

BHIM : the Unstoppable ( 14 April 2017 )

June 2017

BHIM V 4.0

Feature : Foolproof Biometric ( Finger + Iris + Voice ) / Only needs speaking !

Dear Amitabh,

It was nice listening to you on NDTV , last evening , saying that :

*  Rules / Regulations / Laws etc will need to follow and catch up with technological innovations

*  Every economy , must " disrupt itself " , from time to time , in order to remain relevant to the needs of its people

*  We cannot allow , " fear of failure " to paralyze us into " inaction "

* There is nothing to be ashamed of in carrying out frequent " course corrections "

Congratulations on this frank and brutal defense of demonetization ( though none should be required )

During your answers , you pulled out that small attachment ( to a smart phone ) for " finger print identification " of the user of UPI / AEPS " mobile wallet "

I am hoping that , before long , mobile phone manufacturers will make this , an integral part of the phone itself ( instead of a separate piece ), with two levels of identifications ( iris and finger )

I also urge you to come up with a " Speech Enabled , Mobile Wallet " ( UPI / AEPS ) as per my following blog / email :

Step  in  the  Right  Direction

It would be nice to hear from you , one way or the other

with regards,
