Yesterday , we talked about starting a " TOY LIBRARY cum PLAY ROOM " at our
new school in Vadia , in Uma's name
( Uma Ghar ? )
Should Dinesh Kaka agree and we decide to go
ahead with this , then , it may be worthwhile to contact Devendra Desai , who sent
following APPEAL message ( using www.B2BmessageBlaster.com ) , some
18 months back
This could be a 2/3 hour PLAY GROUP in evening ( 4-7 pm ) when parents can leave their children (
2-5 years of age ) , at the school . Besides toys , there could be books for children
Aneree can recommend , what else ( A real life " research project " for next 3
months ? )
This Play Group can be held in large Prayer Room
on the ground floor ( which , I suppose , would be empty , most of the time )
A few cupboards would need to be provided
Children could play on the floor
A teacher - and a helper - would need to look
after the kids and put the toys / books back after kids leave

* WHO
are we ?
We are " Children Toy Foundation " , based in Mumbai , established in
1982
* WHAT
is our mission ?
Ensure the right of the child to play. No child should be deprived of
toys ,childhood pleasure and
learning tool.
* WHAT
have we managed so far ?
> 6 Khel-Vigyan Projects – 4 Mobile Play Vans and 2
static.
> 296 toy / game libraries ( 11 States + 2 Union Territories )
> 1 library each in USA / Zanzibar
>
Won several National / International Awards. Feature in Limca Book of Records.
* WHAT
are our future plans ?
Our
Major plan namely Game of 36: Unite India is to
dedicate 36 Mobile Toy Vans , one in each
State and territory
involving 36 sponsors.
We will try to make it a
national event by inaugurating on a
National day at the hands of 36
Chief Ministers and national address by Our Prime Minister.
This could
Be noted in Limca Book of
Records as well as in Guinness Book of Records.
After
that Interstate contest, national level contests in Mind & Fun games can
take place, SAARC countries can participate and idea can grow into
International Olympics in mind and fun games for children, the idea….which was
acknowledged & acclaimed in 1993, world conference jointly hosted by
International Toy Library Association (ITLA) and International Association for
Child Right to Play (IPA) at Melbourne, Australia.
Hidden
agenda is to reach out to children as fast as possible and to
Generate
jobs for educators/teachers and also to boost Toy Industries
in India, as after the vans we intend to set up
libraries in villages also.
* HOW will we fund these?
By getting Corporate donations and support from Social Welfare Ministries of
all States.MNC will also be approached and Foreign sponsors will also be
invited to participate.
* WHEN do we plan to launch this project ?
We will request Hon Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modiji to announce this
PPP
project from Red Fort on 15 Aug 2015.
The
actual launch to be carried out by all State Chief Ministers flagging off the
respective
State
Vans , at 11 am on 14 Nov 2015 / Bal Diwas ( Nehru Chacha's Birthday )or on 26
Jan.2016
Whichever is earlier.
* PROCESS
> Vans will in particular city/town will cover 12 schools twice
a week and at times other places to bring about awareness of the programmes and
attract people/sponsor to participate.
> Under co-ordination of local participating NGOs ,
with the help of employed staff children will play with variety of toys and
mentally stimulating ,educative games and do lot of activities like kraft,puppetry,story
telling,drama etc.
This is,
to educate them beyond reading
and writing , to stir creativity in them and hone their latent talents. While
at play they learn virtues like honesty, sportsman spirit, patience and learn
to accept defeat and greet the winners.
> Teachers from local schools will be invited to supervise
and guide the children to
discover principles of Maths and Science , by playing brain-stimulating games
>
State / National level contests/expanding into international level will
be held in " Mind and Fun " games
* PROMOTION
> To
promote this unique venture , we will request Media ( Print / TV / Hoardings /
Internet Sites etc) , to advertise city-wise Van Visit Schedules , free of cost
> Leading
PR / Advertising Agencies will be requested to organize Corporate-Sponsored
Seminars , to be possibly jointly hosted by ,
# International Toy Library Association ( ITLA )
# International Association for Child Right to Play
( IPA )
* UP-SIDE
> Promote National Integration by bringing children from
all Castes / Communities /
Religions / Income-Strata , to come and Play together & Stay together which
is our motto.

* FIRST MILE-STONE
Recently ,
National Committee for Social & Economic Welfare has approved our Project
and awarded 35
AC exemption under IT Act-1961 to the tune of 5.84 crores which could be
extended if
we achieve the target.
SBI Funds Management Private
Ltd has already donated two vans.
* HOW can YOU
contribute ?
# If you are a Corporate :
By giving CSR donation for purchase of a Van. As stated above after we meet our
target of
5.84
crores 100% tax exemption for expansion and enhancement
of the project could also be
extended.

By agreeing to carry free Advertisements for this project.

By donating toys / games and advertising on sides of the Vans.

you are a Tablet Manufacturing Company :
By donating tablets pre-loaded with HRD Ministry approved Educational Content.

By persuading Central and State Ministries of Social Welfare to make provisions

UPCOMING
FUNDRAISING PROJECTS :
? Mountain
in the City Marathon : 5th July 2015
A 21km Hill Marathon at
Kharghar Hills, Navi Mumbai amongst the most preserved forest areas
of the city.
It will be a professionally
timed event with an expected crowd turnout of 1500 – 2000
pax from all over India and
Foreign Countries. The event will propagate the need to preserve
nature and also enjoy nature
while learning to be fit with the most inexpensive sport,
‘Running’.
The event will be managed by
event management company, VIOLAT Sports Events
Pvt. Ltd.
? Kunal Ganjawala Concert :
29th November 2015
A Fundraising concert by one of
the most talented Playback Singers of India. The concert will be
aimed at increasing visibility
of the cause of Children Toy Foundation all over Mumbai through
Social Media, Radio and
Newspaper promotions.
Both of the above events will
in turn help CTF reach out to more Donors and also ensure
the funds raised help it
increase its Toy Van presence all over India thus helping more
underprivileged kids get a
chance to play and increase their creativity.
More innovative
events like these will be added
in coming months to maximize Fundraising potential
through events.
