Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

A UNIQUE MOCK TEST for each Student ?

 Colleagues ,

Yesterday , Kishan sent to me , following Whatsapp :

“we've generated approximately 8,000 MCQ questions from those books

now, I'm developing the logic to generate a test using these questions “

I suppose , this would imply ( say ) 2500 MCQ for NEET / JEE and UGCUET , each ( approx. )

That made me chat with ChatGPT as follows :

Good Morning , ChatGPT :

I have a database of 2500 MCQ for NEET test. Using random number system , how many UNIQUE sets of question papers can I generate , where each question paper contains 10 questions ?

Good morning!

To determine how many unique sets of question papers you can generate, we need to calculate the number of combinations of 10 questions that can be selected from a pool of 2,500 questions.

This can be calculated using the combination formula:

Number of unique sets=(250010)\text{Number of unique sets} =

\binom{2500}{10}Number of unique sets=(102500)

Where (nk)\binom{n}{k}(kn) is the number of combinations, and it's calculated as:

(nk)=n!k!(n−k)!\binom{n}{k} = \frac{n!}{k!(n-k)!}(kn)=k!(n−k)!n!

Let me calculate this for you.

You can generate approximately 2.58×10272.58 \times 10^{27}2.58×1027 unique sets of question papers,

where each set contains 10 questions selected from a pool of 2,500 questions. This is an extremely large

number, ensuring a vast diversity of unique question papers.

Hey , I am not too good at maths , Can you just tell me that big number in BILLIONS ?

ChatGPT said:

Sure!

The number of unique sets of question papers you can generate is approximately

2,581,129,725,902,993,722,863 billions.

This is an incredibly large number, so you're definitely well-covered in terms of variety !

Kishan ,

Is this logic correct ?

If yes , we should “ boast “ about it on the landing page of My-Teacher

During recent NEET Scam , a number of “ Experts “ had come up with the desirability of each student ( appearing in NEET – last May , there were 24 lakhs ), getting on his / her computer , a UNIQUE test ( but with same degree of disability )

Apparently , this is quite FEASIBLE – and I believe MICROSOFT is already using it for many years
