 Breaking News !

Dear Parents ,

In 9 languages ?

That is absolutely right . On www.My-Teacher.in

, you can NOW generate NEET - JEE and CET , mock tests ( 10 questions , with 4 multiple choice answers for each ) in following languages :

> English

> Hindi

> Gujarati

> Marathi

> Bengali

> Telugu

> Tamil

> Kannada

> Malayalam

If one of this is a language in which your child is proficient , encourage her to try out on www.My-Teacher.in

She would not be able to resist " Sharing " her correct answer with her classmates !

Can you offer her any better way to become popular among her peers ?

It is merely a matter of days before our 28 crore " disadvantaged " children, studying in 12 lakh village schools , discovers that, at long last, www.My-Teacher.in

MorniAI

 Shri Manish Gupta

Director , Google DeepMind

Dear Manish ,

I came across following news report in today’s Eco Times :

Google DeepMind's Morni AI to cover 125 Indic languages

Extract :

Google DeepMind’s India unit is working on an Indic language artificial intelligence project called Morni (Multimodal Representation for India), with an aim to cover 125 Indian languages and dialects.

“So, India has 22 scheduled languages, which are viewed as official languages. But in our work, we are targeting over 100 Indian languages, because we find that there are 60 Indian languages which have over a billion speakers and over 125 languages that have over a lakh speakers each,” said
Manish Gupta, director at Google DeepMind, Google India. He was speaking at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai on Thursday.

According to him, 73 of these 125 languages had zero corpus of digital data available. Even for a language like Hindi, which is now spoken by close to 10% of the world's population, the share of text on the internet is 0.1%.

Dear Manish ,

I need your help

Only yesterday , I launched  www.My-Teacher.in  , a totally FREE service for India’s millions of students , preparing for NEET – JEE – CET exams

In this , we offer a feature whereby students can “ generate and take “ Mock Tests ( no need to register / login ) and share results with their friends

At present , this Mock Test feature is available only in English . I want to offer it in several Indian languages

Problem is >

Most open source ( FREE API ) translation tools available are unable to faithfully reproduce EQUATIONS _ FORMULA and mathematical SYMBOLS

Can you help please  ?

Regards,

MOCK TESTS IN REGIONAL LANGUAGES

 Dear All ,

Since its launch yesterday , My-Teacher has got encouraging response . I believe the Mock Test feature has proved very popular

As of today , Mock Test is restricted to English language . We need to offer this in other Indian languages as well . Then only, millions of students from 12 lakh village schools , will be able to use it .

If we manage to offer many languages , then these “ dis-advantaged “ students will be able to compete with their urban counterparts

To be able to offer , consists of following two parts :

Ø   From various Online sources , downloading ( 12th Standard ? ) TEXT BOOKS in various local languages ( as we did with English texts of CBSE syllabus )

Ø   To develop a high-end TRANSLATION SOFTWARE , capable of accurately translating EQUATIONS – FORMULA – SYMBOLS etc ., which routinely appear in Physics – Chemistry – Biology – Maths etc

Of these , Kishan will do R&D and find the most appropriate software

Finding / downloading and handing over the BOOKS is OUR JOB

I suggest Sanjivani start on this ( compilation task ) right away . Since I have some contacts with Schools in Gujarat , pl start with Gujarati books . She may take help from Sandeep / Manish

Following might help

  • Hindi
  • Assamese
  • Bengali
  • Gujarati
  • Kannada
  • Marathi
  • Odia
  • Tamil
  • Telugu
  • Urdu
  • Punjabi
  • Malayalam

JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination Main):

JEE Main is offered in the following languages:

  • English
  • Hindi
  • Gujarati
  • Assamese
  • Bengali
  • Kannada
  • Malayalam
  • Marathi
  • Odia
  • Punjabi
  • Tamil

CET (Common Entrance Test) (varies by state):

  • CET exams vary by state, and they are usually conducted in the regional language of the respective state. For example:
    • Maharashtra CET (MHT-CET): English, Marathi
    • Karnataka CET (KCET): English, Kannada
    • Tamil Nadu CET (TANCET): English, Tamil

The inclusion of regional languages in these exams is intended to provide equal opportunities for students who have studied in their native languages.

Taking a screenshot in Windows is simple and can be done in several ways depending on what you want to capture. Here are some common methods:

1. Capture the Entire Screen

  • Press PrtScn (Print Screen): This will capture the entire screen and copy it to your clipboard. You can then paste it into an image editor like Paint, or directly into a document by pressing Ctrl + V.
  • Save Directly as a File:
    • Press Windows Key + PrtScn: This will capture the entire screen and automatically save it as a PNG file in the Screenshots folder inside the Pictures directory.

2. Capture the Active Window

  • Press Alt + PrtScn: This will capture the currently active window and copy it to your clipboard. You can paste it into an image editor or document with Ctrl + V.

3. Capture a Specific Area of the Screen

  • Press Windows Key + Shift + S: This opens the Snipping Tool (or Snip & Sketch in newer versions). Your screen will dim, and you can click and drag to select the area you want to capture. The screenshot is copied to your clipboard, and you can paste it into an image editor or document.

4. Using the Snipping Tool (Windows 10 and earlier)

  • Search for "Snipping Tool" in the Start Menu and open it.
  • Choose a Snip Mode: You can select Free-form, Rectangular, Window, or Full-screen Snip.
  • Capture the Area: After capturing, you can save the screenshot or copy it to the clipboard.

5. Using Snip & Sketch (Windows 10 and newer)

  • Press Windows Key + Shift + S or search for "Snip & Sketch" in the Start Menu.
  • Choose the Snip Mode and select the area you want to capture. After capturing, the image is saved to your clipboard, and you can save or edit it using the Snip & Sketch app.

These methods should cover most of your screenshot needs on Windows.

Breaking News

 Suman ,

You would be happy to learn that , this morning I added to www.My-Teacher.in , a feature which would enable millions of 12th Standard students all over India , to “ generate and take “ a multiple choice quiz , to prepare them for following exams , conducted by Govt Agencies :

Ø   NEET …………. For admission to 700 + Medical Colleges

Ø   JEE ……………. For admission to Engineering Colleges

Ø   CET ……………  For admission to Arts / Science / Commerce colleges

To promote this , I posted following on Linkedin and Facebook

Regards,

Hemen

Breaking News :

“ 200 lakhs students will practice for NEET – JEE – MH CET,  from their Mobiles “

Mumbai / 29 Aug 2024 :

It seems millions of students will no more need to :

Ø  Travel hundreds of kilometres away from their small towns / villages

Ø  Stay in overcrowded and illegal , dungeons called “ Student Hostels /
Paying Guest Accommodations “

Ø  Join dilapidated / congested / dangerous , Coaching Classes

Ø  Pay anywhere between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, as FEES ( - money borrowed
by their parents )

Ø  Spend 2 / 3 years practicing Multiple Choice MOCK TESTS, handed out on
pieces of papers

All of this will soon be a “ Matter of Choice “ – a choice between the scenario described above , and :

Ø  Accessing
www.My-Teacher.in , on mobile

Ø  It is a totally FREE online service .  No need to download any App.  On
your mobile, just type,
www.My-Teacher.in

Ø  It does not require any REGISTRATION-OTP-PASSWORD-LOGIN ( total
privacy / anonymity )

Ø  In
www.My-Teacher.in , anyone can generate – and take – any number of
mock tests, at any time and from anywhere

Ø  As soon as a student “ selects “ one of the 4 options for the FIRST
question and SUBMITS, result is announced

Ø  If the option selected was RIGHT, instant feedback reads “ CORRECT “,
giving reasons

Ø  If the option selected was WRONG, instant feedback reads “ INCORRECT “,
giving detailed explanation

Ø  This is the PROGRAMMED LEARNING , at its best ( make mistake and learn
at once )

Ø  As soon as the student completes answering all 10 questions, she can
view her TEST SCORE HISTORY

Ø  A student can SHARE her “ Test Feedback  /  Test Score History “ with
friends or teachers

Ø  Answers / Feedback are delivered, both as TEXT and in SPEECH

Ø  Even if the entire world population ( approx.. 8 Billion ), were to make
identical selection criteria ( say,  JEE / Maths )

No two persons would see the SAME set of questions !

Ø  Every set will be UNIQUE, no matter a student generates any given test, a
BILLION times !

It is possible that, given these options :

Ø  Every 12th Standard student will start practicing for NEET – JEE – CET ,
from home

Ø  Teachers of our 15 lakh Schools may even consider installing
www.My-
Teacher.in on their mobiles for a quick reference

Ø  Manufacturers / Suppliers of Computerized Interactive Panels may pre-
install
www.My-Teacher.in ( - remember children being able to ASK
questions by SPEAKING and getting SPOKEN answers in 9 Indian
languages ? )
