Pay per Use Job Alert Channel

Dear Himanshu

During our meeting on Feb 02, you also mentioned the likely resistance from d2h subscribers to pay Rs.50/- per month for Job Alert Channel.

In that case, we can make it a “ Pay-per-Use

You deduct Re 1 /- from subscriber’s prepaid account every time he “ PULLS “ job alerts on his channel, by sending an SMS. This way, he can limit his expenses on Job Alert Channel.

In my proposal folder this is explained at “ Job Café “ page.

A Job Alert Channel ?

Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan

On Jan 28, I read in Times of India :

“ BCCL floats TV distribution JV “

I do not own any TV channel – nor the required finances to launch one.

But, I have offered to all DTH Operators, services of my website

                       www.CustomizeResume.com

to enable them to launch a “ Job Alert Channel “ that would converge on a single platform,

Ø   Internet

Ø   DTH  TV

Ø   Mobile Phone [ non-GPRS ]

If you wish to explore this revolutionary concept further, I would be happy to come over and meet you.

Feel free to phone me on [ Mumbai ], 98,67,55,08,08

Job Alert on Mobile [ JAM ]

Dear Deshmukh

This is further to my email / our telecons

Further to my email proposal, I suggest following :

Ø  There is no need to modify Shivsena’s website to accommodate / host, “ Jobseeker Registration “ form

Such a modification would have been technically complicated and time-consuming

Ø  Instead, “ Jobseeker Registration “ form can be printed [ hardcopy ], with

                  --Shivsena’s logo

                  --Shakha No

                  --Application No  etc.

I have simplified the hardcopy version of this form and will email to you tomorrow.

Ø  Senabhavan will print these forms and distribute to various Shakhas. A close / tight record will need to be maintained as to how many forms were given out to which shakha and on what date.

Extra care to be taken to ensure that no one can forge / Xerox / print, duplicate / unauthorized forms and start distributing amongst jobseekers without Sena’s knowledge.

Ø Sena to fix a price [ say, Rs. 20 ] per form – which shakha-pramukh will collect from the candidates desirous of “ Registering “ their resumes.

Ø Candidates will fill up the form and hand back to shakha pramukh.

Ø Shakha pramukh will hire a data-entry operator, who will transfer the candidate-data from hardcopy to our online form on  www.CustomizeResume.com

Shakha pramukh will pay Rs.3/- per form to data entry operator, for online data entry.

Ø Out of Rs.20 /- per form collected by shakha pramukh, he will retain Rs.10 /- and handover the balance Rs.10/- to a designated person in Sena Bhavan, along with original / duly filled-in forms [ after data entry ].

Out of his own share of Rs.10/- , shakha pramukh will pay Rs.3/- to the data entry operator and keep the balance Rs.7/- as his “ commission “. This will motivate him to to get thousands of jobseekers to “ buy “ forms from his shakha.

Of course, a jobseeker will need to hand back filled-in form to the very same shakha from where he purchased it. Each form must carry shakha no.

Ø The designated person in Senabhavan will accept the filled-in/entered forms, along with Rs.10/-per form,,from Shakha pramukh and issue fresh / numbered forms to Shakha pramukh after making appropriate entries in a “ Shakha Employment Register “.

The difference between the “Cumulative No of forms Issued “ and the “ Cumulative No of forms received back “, will indicate the “ Outstanding Forms “ at any given time [ shakha-wise ].

Ø For each shakha pramukh, some minimum “ Target Sale “ should be fixed – say, 20 forms / day. [ ie = 100 % performance ]. Some incentive scheme can be devised to “ reward “ each shakha pramukh for exceeding his monthly target by 200 % / 300 % etc. The base target itself should be revised upwards, periodically.

Ø If 200 shakhas [ in Mumbai / Thana ] manage to sell 20 forms per day, that will add-up to 4000 forms/day, resulting in an income to SenaBhavan of Rs. 40,000/ per day !

Given the unemployment scenario in Maharashtra, I would not be surprised if each shakha manages to sell 200 forms/day, yielding a daily revenue to SenaBhavan of Rs.4 lakhs/day !

Ø Even at 20 forms/day, a shakha pramukh will earn, Rs.2000/day [ Rs 50,000/month ].

As against this income, his own expenses will be :

----  Rs.5,000/month towards computer rental

----  Rs.1,500/month towards internet connection

----  Rs.1,500/month towards data entry charges

Total Rs.8,000/month only

A net profit of Rs.42,000/month !

Ø It is also worthwhile to note that , in this entire exercise, beyond a perfect / error-free online data entry, neither shakha pramukh nor SenaBhavan have any “ residual responsibility “ towards the jobseekers.

From this point onwards, the responsibility to create matching job alerts [ which jobseeker will pro-actively “ PULL “ from his mobile ] and to deliver his resume as an email to the concerned job advertiser [ when he applies from his mobile ] , is that of www.CustomizeResume.com

Ø This version of my proposal [ hardcopy forms > shakha-wise online data entry ], can be implemented within a week – the time it takes for SenaBhavan to print forms and to “ educate / train “ the shakha pramukhs in the art / science of online perfect / error free data entry.

Ø CustomizeResume / RecruitGuru will not come into picture anywhere, nor will we interact with any candidate / shakha pramukh.

With regards

Hcp

PS:

Please let me have your own reaction to this modified proposal after you had an opportunity to study it. Of course, in case Shivsena accepts this proposal and wants to implement the same, then we will need to enter into an MOU with Sena.

Can We Help Unemployed ?

Dear Deshmukh

Can we help unemployed ?

True, we cannot issue appointment letters to young men / women of Maharashtra on behalf of thousands of employers.

But we can certainly enable millions of unemployed Maharashtrians to “ Apply “ against 164,693 live / current jobs on my website

                                              www.CustomizeResume.com

We can even enable them to  blast their resumes  to

Ø    39,232 ………….Employers

Ø      5,674……………Recruitment Agencies

And all this for  FREE !

Problem is :

Millions of these unemployed do not know about my website. I have neither money nor a grass-root organization to publicize my website.

And if we do come across a person who has both the money as well as a grass-root organization, he is bound to ask :

“ Why should I promote your website ? What is in it for me ? How do I benefit ? “

I believe you know such a person – Shri Uddhav Thakre of Shivsena.

I also believe

Ø    he would want to popularize Shivsena amongst these unemployed millions

Ø    he would like to project himself as a leader who is doing something positive / concrete about helping Maharashtrians find jobs all over India and does not merely bemoan against “ outsiders “ coming and grabbing local jobs.

And we can help him do just that.

Here is how  :

Ø    Shivsena’s website is  www.Shivsena.org

Ø    On their homepage, we will help them create a link which reads, “ Jobs Wanted ? Naukri Pahije ? “

Ø    Clicking on this link will display a “ Jobseeker Registration Form “.This will be identical to same form on our site.

Ø    Each Shivsena Shakha will need a PC / Internet connection

Ø    A signboard outside Shakha will boldly proclaim.

“ Shivsena Employment Exchange – Free Registration Inside

Ø    Shakha Pramukh will help unemployed jobseekers to fill-up online Registration Form on Sena’ website.

Ø    Jobseeker data captured on Sena’s website will get automatically copied / transferred to our website

Ø    For each registered jobseeker, and everyday, our website generates a “ My Job Alert Page

Ø    This page lists up to a max of 50 perfectly matched job-advts for that jobseeker. This matching is done ( of course, thru our match-making software ), by comparing his resume with those 160,000 + job-advts in our database. This database keeps growing everyday, by approx. 1000 advts, thru a process of “ Aggregating “ from several job-portals.

Ø    once a candidate has registered on  www.Shivsena.org  , he never again needs a PC / Internet connection to visit any jobsite or conduct an online job-search

Ø    All that he needs is a low-end / non-GPRS mobile phone to,

---   Access “ My Job Alert Page “

                  ----  view all jobs

----  apply against any job, directly using his mobile to send an SMS to our web server.

How this can be done is explained in detail on my website. Of course, this method will be also explained

on    www.Shivsena.org  website  thru simple / easy-to-follow visual diagrams.

Ø    All thru this process of registering / pulling job-alerts on mobile thru SMS / applying from mobile using another SMS etc., our own website will completely remain in the background. No one will know that it is our website which is actually “ powering “ Sena’s website.

Ø    All credit will go to Shivsena when those applying from their mobiles get interview-calls ! A hugh

      publicity indeed !

Ø    You are aware that most small towns in Maharashtra have very poor internet connectivity in homes. But most do have a cybercafé where a jobseeker can go and register himself on www.Shivsena.org , only once. However most young jobseekers even in such small towns do own a mobile !

I would like to propose this idea to Shri Uddhavaji.

I would appreciate if you can organize for two of us to meet him for approx.30 minutes at his convenience. Of course, we would need access to PC / Internet wherever we meet.

After you have had opportunity to go thru this mail, do phone me.

With regards

Hcp

retire Early

Retire  Early ? No way !

That is what Indians seem to be saying.

French insurer Axa Life Insurance asked workers in many countries, what should be the ideal retirement age. Here are some answers :

Ø   India  …………………………….    61 years ( from current 58 years )

Ø   Hong Kong / Indonesia …… 55  years

Ø   China  ………………………………  54  years

Apparently, residents of Hong Kong seem to be most assured about their post-retirement income, with 55 % of them availing of early retirement and a mere 17 % working till normal retirement age !

Compare this with 70 % of the Indians, who continue to work till their normal retirement age.

And that applies to only 10 % of the 460 million Indians who work in the “ organized sector “.

Balance 90 % of Indian workers don’t even know the concept of “ retirement “ ! Happily or unhappily, they start working as a 5 year old child and continue till grave !

Cakewalk

Cakewalk for Jobseekers ?

Here are some interesting findings from a Nielsen India Study conducted in Dec.2010 ( Times of India / Jan 12, 2011 ) :

Of the 626 Indian male executives surveyed,

Ø  85 % believe clean-shaven men get to attend meetings and   travel out of the office

Ø  86 % felt, when it comes to promotion, clean-shaven men have upper hand

Ø  73 % said women like to accompany clean-shaven men to party

Of the 414 women bosses surveyed,

Ø  90 % preferred clean-shaven men

Ø  79 % felt clean-shaven men have successful careers

Ø  66 % believe getting a job is a cakewalk for clean-shaven men

Ø  66 % prefer taking a clean-shaven man to meet her parents

At least in India, bearded men seem to face a bleak future !

Blessed are the clean-shaven for they shall inherit the earth !

One Stop Shop

One-Stop-Shop  Job  Search

Even for frustrated / desperate Indian jobseekers, there is no need to spend endless hours conducting job searches on umpteen job portals.

And “ Submit resume / register / remember User IDs  / Passwords / login / apply online “, on each of those job sites, day after day.

All they need to do is to register at a “ Job Aggregator ” site such as

IndiaRecruiter.net

On search term [  Job Aggregator ], search engines ranked IndiaRecruiter.net as follows :

Google  ……………………………………  1  /   2.5  Million results

Yahoo  ……………………………………..  4  /   18.7  Million results

Bing  …………………………………………  3  /   929,000  results

But we are trying to make ourselves obsolete ( before someone else does ! ), by launching

RE: SMS Country profile & Quotation

Dear Urmila

Thank you for mail.

Right now we have no requirement for bulk SMS service.

You may  take a look at our Job Alert on Mobile Service at   www.CustomizeResume.com

At the moment it is FREE for the registered jobseekers.

However I would be willing to consider changing it into a PAID service if , thru a strategic alliance between our organizations ,we can share the revenue, where you promote it.
