For over 5 years, I have been advocating voting using a Mobile App : VotesApp

Till now, it seemed that political parties ( with vested interests ) would continue to oppose it - ignoring enormous benefits of Time / Money / Efforts that my suggestion offers .

Apart from the possibility of being able to get 850 million voters , to complete voting within hours and being able to declare results , within ONE DAY But the demand of 50 % VVPAT verification by 21 opposition parties can be met ( - and exceeded ) by implementing my suggestion ! If for nothing else, than for their lack of faith in EVM , they should come forward and support mobile-based voting I hope Supreme Court uses this petition to usher India to its Digital future !

VVPAT  ?   How about  EVBAT  ?

21 opposition parties want 50 % of the votes cast using EVM , to be tallied with VVPAT paper slips ( Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail )

Election Commission says ,
#  That would be a very difficult and time-consuming process
#  It would be fraught with practical difficulties to change the protocol with regard to counting procedures
#  Do not alter the system of counting VVPAT paper slips for one randomly selected polling station per assembly
    segment

Supreme Court is not convinced

It wants 100 % tally

It is entirely possible
If all the political parties agree to a technology-based solution , which I would like to be called ,  EVBAT
EVBAT = Everyone Verifiable Block-chain Audit Trail

By getting everyone to vote using his / her Smart Phone , as suggested in :
VotesApp   ………………. 18  Aug 2013

-     which would ensure a Block-chain technology based verification of ,
            #    100 % of the votes cast
            #    Automatically / Instantly
            #    Without need for any human presence

Anyone can view transactions recorded on a permissioned block-chain.

That means that once Election Commission managing the block-chain, verifies the votes, anyone — voters, candidates, or just interested third parties — could see the election results.

For details , read :
Block Chain for Voting ?  ……………….. 11  March   2018

Sure, it is too late for the general elections which are a few weeks away

Dear CJI , Hon Shri Gogoiji,

It is time to test the hypocrisy of those opposition parties by telling them :

“ We , the Supreme Court are convinced with your arguments for 50 % VVPAT tally

In fact, we are so convinced that we are ordering the Election Commission to undertake 100 % audit

And to ensure that there is no need to carry out such audit in the presence of representatives of any political

parties, we are ordering EC to implement :
