Dear
Mr. Chunyan
I
hope you could talk to Shuklendu Baji
In
the meantime , there was something I thought I should bring to your notice ,
even as you consider my proposal
On
Android Market , you will find a number of “ Job Search “ apps , such as :
>
Monster Job
Search > Job Street Job
Search
>
Indeed
Jobs
> LinkUp Job Search Engine
>
Job Search HireADroid > Career
Builder
>
Dice Job
Search
> TimesJobs ……………… etc
All
of these apps ask jobseekers to enter , one or more , of the following “ Search
Parameters “, on a small mobile screen( - since it cannot accommodate long
drop-lists ? ) :
>
Job Title
>
Keywords
> Type of Job
>
Skills
>
Function
> Location
>
Company Name > Boolean [ and / or / not ]
Then
return between 50 to 1500 so-called “ matching jobs “, which , a jobseeker must
open / read , one at a time , to finally “ zero –in “ on 5 !
These apps are trying to replicate the PC context on a 3”
screen
– assuming jobseeker will remain glued for 4 hours !
“
My Jobs “
begs to differ !
It
believes in matching the resume of each jobseeker , every morning , with 400,000 + jobs
in our database , find those 5 perfectly matching jobs and deliver only those 5 onto his mobile screen!
In
the words of author Chuck Martin [ The Third Screen ], it makes “ My Jobs “ , a “
Finder “ type app , rather than a “ Searcher “ type apps – which , Chuck believes , are
totally unsuitable for the mobile context
If
you wish , I can meet-up with one of your executives in Mumbai to personally
explain my proposal
Do
not hesitate to phone me on 0-98,67,55,08,08 (Mumbai )
With
regards
Hemen
parekh
