Subject: New Initiative for Exam Paper Security and the Potential for Further Automation
Dear Principals,
I recently came across the following news:
Excerpt: In response to allegations of a paper leak, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has decided to send the remaining question papers for the ongoing second-year MBBS exams by email to colleges, but only after students have been seated in the exam halls.
This decision follows an urgent meeting of the Examination Board held on Tuesday. The remaining exams will take place on December 11, 13, and 19.
This step was prompted by two instances where MUHS received emails claiming a paper leak during the ongoing MBBS examination.
I would like to congratulate the university for adopting this initiative, which is also recommended by the expert committee led by former ISRO chief, Shri Radhakrishnan, regarding paper leakage concerns for the NEET exam in May 2024. They referred to this approach—emailing question papers for local
printing at exam centers—as a "HYBRID MODEL."
While this is an important and welcome reform, the process of paper-setting still remains manual. This leads me to ask: Can this process be automated too?
With my NEW-BRID model, even the creation of question papers—such as generating an MCQ paper—can be automatically handled using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
All the details on how this works are explained in my recent email to Shri Dharmendra Pradhan (Minister for Education).
Should you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, feel free to reach out.
Best regards,
Hemen Parekh
