My Teacher : Purpose
Manish :
Many thanks for your very valuable suggestions, all of which have merits. In due course ( depending upon the time available with Kishan for further development ) , we will incorporate these in My Teacher { WHEN part }
Question :
However, WHERE should these be incorporated ?
Before I answer this question, it is necessary to delve into the following :
Ø There are two , distinctly different PURPOSES , one related to the Students and the other related to the Teachers / Principals and the provisions / requirements of NEP 2020 ( New Education Policy ) – which imposes huge amount of fresh OBLIGATIONS on them
Ø With this in mind , originally , I had thought of two separate portals , My-Teacher for students and www.surprise-Exam.in for the teachers / principals. I think, I had sent to you, my hand-drawn sketches of the U/ I s of all the pages of Surprise-Exam, a few weeks ago. I had also sent these to Kishan. This proposal was meant to be a PAID / SUBSCRIPTION model
Ø A few weeks later, Vishesh suggested merging the two since both would be using the same technology for generation of, the AI-based tests and the databases were also the same. Idea was to cut down on the development time and launch quickly
For easier understanding, take a look at the following tabulation :
Your Suggestion | Student side | Teacher side |
|
|
|
1. Instant Result Feature for MCQ Tests
| This feature is already available to the students , when they create / take MOCK TESTS , which are meant for practice / preparation for FINALS / a Self-Assessment tool – in which , teachers have NO role
Here , a Physical teacher gets replaced by a Virtual AI Agent ( of a teacher ), who gives instant FEEDBACK to the student , at the end of mock test – even after each question !
Physical Teachers are overloaded and just don’t have time to , personally conduct MOCK TESTS , for hundreds of students – and after each chapter .
AI agent teacher takes over this job
| Our “ Surprise Exam “ feature is designed to replace the current “ Paper & Pen “ model , used in our 15 lakh schools, by 96 lakh teachers in India
I believe , CBT ( Computer Based Test ) system is already being used for JEE – CET , and already recommended for NEET , by Expert committee
Let us say, “ We are the Flag-Bearers “ of something which AI will force upon the entire world, in next 3 years ! In our write-up, we have erred in writing :
“This portal enables you to prepare a mock / real test for your students.”
We will remove word “ mock “.
It is simply THE real test ( except that it gets delivered every month or at the end of the semester / year )
And like current practice ( all over the World ? ), once a REAL test is taken , after a week or a month, we may introduce , some equivalent of the EXAM RESULT , delivered to every student
This MARK SHEET ( ? ) may read : PASS / FAIL / GRADE / MARKS , - In each subject - Manish - do suggest a format
We will also add in write-up for Teacher side :
“ Dear Teacher / Principal :
It is up-to you as to :
Ø When and How you wish to deliver the result of the Surprise Exams, to the students
Ø How ( in what kind of a Database ), you want to store the Exam Results of each student ( NEP expects you to store this data for each student, from 9th Standard till 12th Standard – since this data will decide the FINAL SCORE of 12th Standard )
Ø Using what software platform, you want to “ integrate “ the Exam Results ( of each student ), with the requirements laid down with the Vidya Samiksha Kendra – VSK , of your State |
|
|
|
. Chapter Selection for Self-Tests It would be beneficial to allow students to select specific chapters while taking tests independently | Currently , in MOCK TESTS, we have provision to select only > Exam ( NEET-JEE-CET ) > Subject ( Physics – Chemistry – Biology – Maths )
I agree with your suggestion to have one more drop=list for > Chapter
Apart from this , I have also asked Kishan to add :
Ø Exam ( 9th Standard – 10th – 11th – 12th )
Kishan will take up both of these and indicate a time target | I think , your suggestion should ALSO get implemented in the REAL TESTS ( Surprise Exams ) , to be generated by the teachers
This will be a priority , HIGHER than introduction in the MOCK TEST side |

Notes Section with Summarized Content
|
I am not much enthused about this – since , I believe this feature is already available in a number of existing Educational Apps or Portals
Nevertheless , after watching how students and teachers, adopt our offerings , we may consider this |

Subject: Suggestions for Enhancing Website Functionality and Features
But Sir,
As we are making excellent progress with the website development, I would like to share a few suggestions that could enhance user experience and add significant value to our platform:
1. Instant Result Feature for MCQ Tests
- Currently, after submitting answers, the response sheet is sent to the teacher for assessment. However, since the tests are based on MCQs, we can introduce an "Instant Result" feature for students.
- With instant results displayed on the screen, the teacher will no longer need to forward the answer sheets back to students. If required, the teacher can still share individual answer sheets with students via email or WhatsApp.
- Highlighting this feature with a tagline like “YOU WILL GET INSTANT RESULTS WITH EXPLANATIONS OF YOUR TEST” can serve as a strong promotional point for our website.
2. Chapter Selection for Self-Tests
- It would be beneficial to allow students to select specific chapters while taking tests independently.
3. Notes Section with Summarized Content
- Since we have already uploaded extensive content on the portal, we could introduce a “Notes” section. This section can include summarized notes for topics, along with important formulas in subjects like Mathematics and Physics.
- These notes could also be designed for easy sharing by students with their peers. Including our website name on these notes would serve as an effective publicity tool.
I believe these features would not only improve the user experience but also help differentiate our website.
Note: I am not getting any result in my Teacher Mail ID.

Dear Manish
If a teacher creates a test, the student never gets the answersheet. Only the teacher gets the correct answers along with the students ones.
Only if a student creates a test as a mock test for himself he gets the answersheet to judge himself.

Subject: RE: TESTING of SURPRISE EXAM feature
Sir,
On part of Teacher – It’s Fantastic
For Student – “Take Teacher assigned test” -> They are unable to see their results. Though answers are submitted to teacher, at the end of test children should be able to see his/her performance with explanations on each answer (whether answer is right or wrong)
For Student – “Prepare for JEE-NEET-CET” -> As I discussed earlier also, this test is useful at the end of the Syllabus, what about mid-year or at the end of each chapter. We should give option of selecting the topic & add one option “Final Test”.
OR To Make test more engaging we can give student a check box against each topic where they can select which chapters they want to include in a test.
As per my yesterday’s email, we have to workout/OMIT those questions which refers to a) match the column b) Diagram.
Warm Regards,
Manish Chauhan

Kishan ,
Some quick / cursory observations :
· Additional Write-up on the Home Page
I realize that there is NOT sufficient space at the bottom to add , both , CREDITS and TEAM . Hence, just add CREDITS ( forget TEAMS )
But at the very bottom , do add “ Contact Us “ link
· In that page where a teacher fills up all details re ; test , “ Email of Principal “ reads “ Optional “ but it insists on filling up
· “You can create unlimited tests without the need to login or register yourself. “ > on Teacher side , this line is REPEATED . Remove one
During his VIDEO INTERVIEW yesterday ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?
Dr Nivash , devoted almost 10 MINUTES in his presentation to SHOW screens of “ My Teacher “ and “ HemenParekh.ai “
Since this is NCERT channel ( on Youtube ) , it will attract 500 / 1000 visitors, DAILY ( late last evening , figure was 1500 ) and give our sites, a lot of publicity
Let us make this ( UNIQUE tests ) our next priority along with addition of 7 LANGUAGES . How long will this take ?
Incidentally , since there exists , another mobile APP , called “ My App “ , anyone searching would find this APP as the FIRST LINK !
Pl consider adding a “ hyphen “ in our colourful MAST HEAD ( My-Teacher )

Subject: TESTING of SURPRISE EXAM feature
Sandeep – Manish – Sanjivani ,
After a long wait, Surprise Exam feature finally went live, yesterday afternoon
On a cursory look , it looks to be working properly, but we must test it thoroughly before we start promo email / postings
Since, I would like to send out some messages by this afternoon , I would like you to carry out this testing , FIRST thing today morning and send to me ( cc: Kishan ) , your consolidated FINDINGS by lunch
You may consider taking help from Manoj and Tushar
Best way to test would be :
Each one of you , in turn , assume the ROLES of a TEACHER , generate a test and share the EXAM ID with the others ( who will, acting as STUDENTS ), complete the test and submit it
Then “ Rotate “ the ROLES and repeat the exercise
Make sure that , while generating the tests ( teacher role ) OR while taking the tests ( student role ) , each one , carefully writes down ANY ISSUES faced
Then Consolidate all of such “ observations “
Top priority :
BUGS ( any link or button , NOT working or taking a long time to produce the desired result )
Medium Priority :
Correcting any “ Instructions “ so as to make it amply CLEAR to the visitor, what exactly, she is expected to DO
Adding any instructions for quick / easy UNDERSTANDING of the visitors
Low Priority :
Adding any NEW feature to increase the BENEFIT / UTILITY for teachers and students
Good Luck
hcp
