You will notice that this exercise has following advantages, viz:

 

·         It forces us to ensure that no activity gets missed out

·          

·         We must decide which activity “ precedes “ ( say , activity A ) and which activity succeeds A

·          

·         We must also agree which activities are “ Parallel “ ( can be carried out simultaneously )

·          

·         How much time ( optimistic / pessimistic / normal ) could an activity take

·          

·         What EVENTS denote the END / COMPLETION , of a given activity

·
