Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

Missing You Mummy
--------------------------------

Wasn’t it just the other day, when you were laughing and playing Solitaire?
And then so suddenly you were gone forever, how could that at all be fair?
Nothing could have prepared us at all, for that really very sad day, A month ago when you breathed your last, as we saw you slip away.
Did you at least know that your loved ones, were all gathered right there?
Those who weren’t there also, pleading for your recovery in their prayer.

Mummy you didn’t even, bid any of us a Goodbye, How can we then hold back, our tears and not cry?
Many more happy memories with you, we had so looked forward to, Not just with Papa and us, but our spouses and your grandchildren too.
Who will we call now, for advice when the kids are not well?
Something was not right, just from our voice you could tell.

How many a times, for your delicious recipes we would make a phone call, No matter what you were doing, so very patiently you would dictate it all.
Then the next day you would call and ask us, how it turned out to be, ‘Of course not as good as yours’, our honest answer always would be.
Unforgettable are those wonderful memories for us, of our childhood years, Thinking of all your hard work and sacrifice brings to our eyes, lots of tears.

Vividly remember the love and attention, you showered on everyone, Though we were five of us, you treated each as the only special one!
You guided us through all these years, as spouses and then parents we became, Trying your best to help us all, learn the tricks of the difficult parenting game.
Lucky are also our children, to have at least a a few years with you, Times they spent with you were always such a blessing, that is just so true.

Can’t thank you enough for everything, that all these years you had done, We really hope that at least half as good as you, a parent we can become.
Though we cannot ever take your place, yet one thing we will always try, To give dear Papa all the love that we can, about that you need not worry.
We all miss you so much dear mummy, with every breathe that we take, There is nothing that can reduce our pain, or even in our heart the ache.

True to your name ‘Tara’, may you be a shining star up in the sky, Guiding us from up above, when we gaze at you with a teary eye.

Compiled by daughter Nisha on 5th May a month after  her mother’s death on 5th april 2013
