How exactly

How   exactly ,   Narendrabhai  ?

In your “ Hunkar “ rally at Patna yesterday , you said ,

“  Poor hindus and poor musalmans should not fight each other . They should join hands to fight poverty……

When Congress fought 2009 elections , it promised jobs . How many of you got those promised jobs ?  “

True , for over 55 years , successive Congress governments have been busy in “ Garibi Hatao “ – without success

So what did they do ?

Re-draw the Garibi-Rekha ( Poverty Line ) at Rs 27/day in urban areas , to give an impression that very few people in India , are “ really poor “

Even then , this works out to 400 million people ! By their own twisted standard

If I were to assume that BJP’s garibi rekha is , at a more respectable , Rs 100 per day , then this figure could well go over 700 million people !

Exact figures are unimportant

What is more important is ,

“ How do you pull these poor , out of poverty ? “

There are only 2 ways , viz:,

Ø      Create jobs

Ø      Enable poor to become self-employed

Now , even though you don’t have a Ph D in Economics ( thank God ! ), you are a hard-headed Gujju businessman !

On top of that , you started your own career as a “ Self employed tea vendor “ on railway stations and in trains

So you know what it costs ( by way of capital investment + working capital ) to create just ONE job in the economy

Depending upon , whether that job is in Public Sector  /  Large organized Private Sector  /  Medium sized industry  / Roadside retail grocery shop or a Pan-Beedi dukaan of a self employed , the figure would range from Rs 10 Crores / job to Rs 10,000 for a Pan-Beedi shop !

(  If in doubt , take Annual Report of any Tata / Adani / Ambani / Birla company and divide the Capital Employed by Manpower  )

Now pick your own favorite figure ( per job investment ) and multiply with your own ( convenient ? ) figure of 700 million poor people , desperately wanting to “ fighting poverty “

In BJP’s poll manifesto , will you please mention , where you will find the money required to fulfill your promise ? I hope , you will not raise taxes !

How exactly , Narendrabhai ?

Hint :

Read my Poll Manifesto Suggestions , sent to Shri Murli Manohar Joshi , 3 days back !

Posted  8 hours ago  by Ingrid Lunden, on TechCrunch
Just over a year after InMobi bought MMTG Labs, the mobile ad company is today unveiling the first big product to come out of the acquisition: a new version of its AppGalleries offering, which lets publishers create their own app storefronts with ads incorporated into them.
Today the service is debuting with a redesigned UI with more flexibility for publishers to curate their apps, along with some clever algorithms of self-populate the stores, too.
This is part of a wider refresh at InMobi that is also seeing the company unveil new custom ad formats designed around templates for games, weather apps, utility apps and so on, to encourage more clicks from those seeing the ads.
Ryan Merket, the co-founder of MMTG who is now director of product at InMobi, says that MMTG was onto a good thing with the idea of white-label app stores for publishers, which were originally called AppStores, a domain that InMobi now owns and redirects to AppGalleries. It’s hard to find apps that are relevant to you, so for consumers who already feel loyal to a certain app or brand, those consumers may look to them for more curated selections. The problem was that MMTG lacked a strong enough monetization model behind it.
“We decided to get acquired because we would have had to build an ad network from scratch to support what we wanted to do, and it was hard to articulate this vision to VCs to garner the resources we needed,” Merket tells me. “InMobi had the tech to help us fulfil that vision.”
InMobi today is one of the bigger independent ad networks around. There are some 691 million users on its network — second only to Facebook, Merket tells me — and more than Millennial Media combined now with Jumptap. There are some 30,000+ apps and sites on the InMobi network, which works out to InMobi touching more than 60% of all mobile Internet users, and 40% of the global smartphone population. InMobi’s existing mobile app install ads have led to some 50 million downloads to date.
The idea with the AppGalleries, which are free for publishers to create, is that they will be able to select any apps that they would like to run in their personalized app stores. Those apps can also be auto-populated based either on InMobi’s own selection of apps, or content on your own site. As one example, Merket suggested that a blog that writes app reviews could create an AppGalleries storefront that aggregates all the apps that have ever been reviewed by the blog, by way of some java code. This is retroactive, he says: putting code on, say, TechCrunch could see a new storefront created in “about 10 minutes” with all the apps we’ve ever written about in it. What’s more, InMobi can also modify, automatically, the links in the actual posts so that subsequent links to apps go directly to the publisher’s app store, rather than that of iTunes or Google Play.
As for monetizing, any of those app links can be turned into paid ads, a publisher can sell in their own ads, or they can use those from InMobi’s network. The bare minimum, Merket says, is that at least one InMobi based ad — demarcated with a “sponsored” tag — needs to appear in the list. InMobi says that early tests of the galleries has seen an increase of up to 600% in app download conversion rates; and eCPMs of up to $12 (compared to a typical $1-3 on mobile ads).
Given the success that Facebook and others have had with app install ads, the idea of expanding that concept into a full app storefront with a mix of those ads with actual curated app listings makes some sense. So does the fact that InMobi is trying to make AppGalleries as ubiquitous as possible. Built on HTML5, they can be used both on mobile web sites as well as within native iOS or Android apps (no word on Windows Phone or other platforms for now). And they can be accessed either via interstitials, as standalone apps, or via links from the publishers’ apps themselves
“Facebook” is the operative word here, too: Merket says that InMobi is currently in advanced testing with one of the “top three” social networks to roll this out on their own platform. He says he’s bound to secrecy over which one it is, but you can see how this model could be implemented by the likes of Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. All of them are hyper aware that the biggest user growth is coming not from desktop but mobile, and so the big question is how to keep people engaged on a platform that lends itself to very short bursts of usage. Extended time on the platform would be in all three companies’ interest because that increases the likelihood of serving ads and getting a response.

Yesterday was a record

Congrats !

When this database is ready , I would like to know,

Ø Number of Countries

Ø Number of cities within each country

I would like to mention these figures in my “ Promotional Emails “ , as also on the corresponding web page ( Around the World ) of www.B2BmessageBlaster.com

I have no doubt that the efforts that you have put-in to compile this database , will prove to be a Magnet for thousands of companies from around the World to register on our site

I hope , based on links found by Manoj ,you will come up with similar databases for,

Ø   Professional Associations ( where individual executives are members )

Ø   Trade Associations              (  where Companies are members  )

For these databases , we will target following countries ( in this order ) :

Ø India

Ø USA

Ø UK

Ø Canada

Ø Australia

Ø South Africa

Ø Pakistan

If we can manage these databases as well , then we will be offering to both , the individual executives and to the companies , an unparalleled service

A Contrarian View

A   Contrarian   View

Pakistani prime minister , Nawaz Sharif , yesterday suggested that America should get “ involved “ in solving the “ Kashmir Issue “

Expectedly , Indian politicians are all united ( at least on one issue ! ) in telling USA :

“ Keep your hands off Kashmir . We don’t need third party intervention to solve , what is essentially , our bilateral problem , as agreed in Shimla Agreement . “

Except that no politician is willing to admit the harsh ground reality that , after 30 years of LoC skirmishes – and thousands of deaths , India and Pakistan have failed to resolve the issue “ bilaterally “ !

Late Vasant Sathe was the only politician who had the ( suicidal ? ) courage to say ,

“ Only practical solution is for both countries to accept LoC as the international border “

And such a “ practical solution “ can come about only through a third-party mediation , without making either Indian or Pakistani politicians losing face !

Let us admit :
Ø  Without a peaceful solution of Kashmir Issue , thousands of innocent Indians living close to LoC will continue to die

Ø  Unlike Israel , India cannot engage in “ Hot Pursuit “ of the terrorists into Pak-Occupied Kashmir , without risking an all-out Nuclear war

Ø  Western Nations ( especially USA ) need Pakistan to fight  Al Qaida

Ø  China is encircling India by establishing strong economic / military presence in Tibet / Nepal / Myanmar / Sri-Lanka / Maldive / Pakistan etc

Ø  Even Russian support to India is waning , as Russian economy gets more and more integrated with EU

Let us ask ourselves :

“ Is it right to continue spending billions of rupees in maintaining our military presence in Kashmir , when 400 million BPL Indians don’t get 2 meals a day ?  How long must 1.6 million Indian children ( below the age of 5 ) continue to die , year after year , due to starvation ? “

Alas ! Neither Rahul Gandhi nor Narendra Modi would have the moral courage to answer this question !
In their party’s Poll Manifestos , there will be a deafening silence on this practical solution !

BJP  Poll  Manifesto  for  2014 LokSabha  Elections

Dear Mr Joshi

Here are my suggestions , based on my perception of what would benefit the public most ( in order of importance ) :

Ø Corruption

We will introduce / pass Anna-Version of Jan Lok-Pal Bill within 2 months of assuming power at the Center

Ø Jobs

We will create 15 million jobs per year , starting from 2015

Ø Economy

We will liberalize FDI in Insurance / Retail and all other non-defense related sectors of economy

Ø Infrastructure

We will create a climate whereby private sector will come forward to invest , at least Rs 10 lakh crores per year for the next 5 years. This will be done thru,

·        No-Tax “ ( for 10 years ) , Infrastructure Bonds

·        Enabling investments into these bonds , thru a Voluntary Disclosure Scheme ( VDS ) where no questions will be asked as to the source of the funds. This will bring back Rs 35 lakh crores stashed away in foreign banks by Indian nationals

Ø CBI

We will make CBI truly independent of the Central Government , by making Chief of CBI report to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
CBI will have its own Expense Budget ( as part of the Central Budget ) and will be free to hire additional professionals without needing permission from any Central Ministry

Ø Electoral Reforms

We will introduce , within 6 months , a Electoral Reforms Bill in Lok Sabha. This will have provisions for
·        NOTA
·        Right to Recall
·        Negative Vote …………..etc

Ø Representation of People Act

We will amend this Act within 5 months of assuming power , by incorporating provisions for

·        Acceptance of ALL donations to political parties only thru cheques

·        Issue of paper receipts for all donations

·        Publishing on party web site ,

#   full details of funding / expenditure etc

#   full details of Assets / Liabilities / Income Tax Returns filed etc of Senior party functionaries ( including those holding Ministerial positions ) – updated annually

#   full details of FIRs / Court-Cases ( whether criminal or civil ) filed against any Senior Party Functionaries , with punishments awarded , if any

#   number of Lok Sabha / Rajya Sabha meetings attended by its elected representatives

Ø Naxal  /  Maoist Menace

We will eliminate this menace thru full integration of these Tribal areas into the mainstream of the Social / Political and Economic development.
We will do this by granting special status to these areas , where industries will be encouraged to set up Skills Training Institutes , by giving accelerated depreciation benefit for the Capital Expenditure incurred and 150 % write-off on the recurring annual revenue expenditure

Ø Relations with Pakistan

Whereas we will encourage constructive dialogue with Pakistan to resolve all outstanding issues , this will be done only after Pakistan dismantles all terror-training camps on its territory , as certified by a UN Agency , on an ongoing basis

   Dear Mr Joshi :

I am not sure how many citizens will take the trouble to spell out their suggestions like this
My last suggestion is that you frame a Multiple Choice Questionnaire
Publish this on as many Media as possible – especially on many  Online Web sites
Then ask people to record their choices

A Smart Phone based Mobile App would be great !
