Dear
VHI,
Some
time back , you wrote that you have requested your Director – Operations , to
examine the possibility of your MBA / Engg / Comp Science students to undertake
a project to develop a Technology Platform to find a holistic solution to
the traffic , based on my blog :
There
was a time when “ Case Studies “ of large companies , were part of teaching
method of all management colleges
May
be , this is still so
But
have you ever heard of a “ Case Study “ of a Management Institution being part
of curriculum of all other management institutions , world wide ?
Because
, that “ Case Study “ illustrated how those students went about solving a “
Real Life Problem “ faced by the entire World ?
And ,
in the process of finding that “ Universally Applicable Solution “ , how these students
successfully managed to get on board , the following stake-holders :
·
Vehicle Owners
·
Vehicle Manufacturers and their Professional / Trade Bodies ( eg
: SIAM / SMEV etc )
·
Regional Transport Authorities
·
State Transport Ministries
·
Central Transport Ministry
·
Manufacturers of RFID and other sensors
·
Public Transport Operators
·
Fleet Operators
·
Taxi Operators ( Uber – Ola etc )
·
Air Traffic Control Authority
·
Drone Operation Authority
·
Maritime Operations Authority
·
Police Authorities
·
ISRO
·
NITI Aayog
·
Numerous Indian Start Ups working on “ Vehicle Tracking Systems
“
·
Mobile phone manufacturers who will switch over to NaviC based
GPS
I am
sure , this is not an exhaustive list
Here
is an opportunity for your Institute to set a precedent for academics
contributing to solving real / urgent issues
Regards,
hcp
