Dear Ms Nappinai ,
It was with great interest that I read your article in
yesterday’s Times of India
( Bitcoins and the crypto-currency conundrum : Budget
tries to provide an answer but falls short of
definitive stand ),
Where you write :
‘ Blocking this channel without taking a definitive
stand on crypto-currencies is clearly counter-productive
It will merely encourage
use of cash for such transactions. The government would have therefore
pushed the transactions underground instead of keeping them clearly visible “
Question :
Can / will , Supreme Court take suo moto
cognizance of your article and treat it as a
PIL to force the government into taking a DEFINITIVE stand on
crypto-currency ?
For the moment , it seems , the government is only
interested in collecting a few thousand crores of rupees by asking the Income
Tax department to send out notices to Bitcoin traders !
My following blogs ( each sent as email to NDA
Ministers / PM-EAC / NITI Aayog etc ) can serve as inputs
With Regards,
