Here are my initial observation based on
a quick glance :
- It looks more like a Document Exchange/Repository
(which his fine) but with a weak motivation
model for contributors. These seems to be not enough motivation for
someone to contribute !
Contributors/Big-companies have to remove confidential
information or legal terms from their forms etc., before uploading. All this is
Time, Efforts which needs stronger motivation ! Access to MSME Database is one
motivation you talked about but that may not be enough.
- There is no guarantee that someone will find the right
content for a given need or a given ‘situation’ ! The ‘context’ of the document
may be missing.
- The model is too generic, too all purpose, discovery
based (may call it luck based). Obviously it will Evolve on daily basis to
become better, but how will it hit the critical mass or take-off point is not
clear.
- There are No Experts
to Curate the content ! It completely depends on the contributor. We are
not committing to goodness or correctness or real utility of the content. There
is no Expert to ensure anything here, and no Expert to guide someone to search
right combination of documents for a given ‘Situation’.
- Experts could have also ‘Sourced’ right contents from
other Public sites including something like APQC (which can be subscribed to)
to get started on this.
After all Content is the King and we are leaving this
completely to Chance !
- No idea as to how to make it popular ! Mere
endorsement by Govt or a big corporation will not take it off ! The
mission is Noble but that is also not enough as you very well know.
