RE: PHASE I BALANCE WORK


Shuklendu / Nitin,

As it is , we had hardly any registrations ( either, jobseekers or recruiters ) on CustomizeResume

Now , if the RSS feeds ( of job advts from Naukri / Monster / Timesjobs and Clickjobs ) have stopped , then the site is as good as " Non Functional "

And " Job Market Analytics " page would also become meaningless !

In light of this , I suggest that we terminate our Maintenance Contract , from 8th Nov 2016 ( 2 months )

Since I would like to sell off both sites ( CustomizeResume and B2B ) , to some prospective buyer , I would like that we continue to " host " these beyond 8th Nov , for visitors to see / try out. ( Sachin to note )

I would highly appreciate that you carry out a very COMPREHENSIVE DOCUMENTATION , of both these sites and handover to Mekhola / Sachin , by end Oct 2016

Documentation should be fairly explicit and exhaustive, in respect of the technologies employed , Source Code compilation and the RSS feeds / mapping the job advts to a COMMON DATABASE structure and in respect of " Job Alerts / My Jobs / Resume Blast " etc

That would be essential for any prospective buyer

I would , no doubt , appreciate if the balance of Phase I of Job Market Analytics get completed / uploaded before 8th Nov

I would also request you to return thru courier all of my handwritten notes / files , some of which I remember as follows :

4 files left at your office during my last visit + 2 CDs

*  Files on " ResumesExchange.com " and " OnlineJobsFair.com "

*  File on " Job Recommendation System "

In closing , I wish to thank both of you for your unstinted cooperation during the past 5 years

Following changes are carried out in ‘CustomizeResume’ Job Market Analytics page & uploaded on the server.

1.       Added Designation wise search criteria(graph).
2.       Counter for Total No. of Jobs showing in rectangular box with nos. separated with comma.


#     Getting Job Advt Counters re-started – Jobs are not getting updated through RSS feed because
Click Jobs RSS feed links are not working
We have stopped importing Jobs from TimesJobs (as discussed earlier)
Monster & Naukri , both of them have changed their RSS feed structure, so our current system is not able to capture required data from the same.

This rich database is truly , a " Database of Intentions " of thousands of Employers / Recruiting Firms , in respect of the kind of Attitudes / Skills / Knowledge ( ASK ) , that they are looking for, in jobseekers

Using BIG DATA technique , analyzing this could be of immense benefit to the Policy Makers of our country

I hope , one of these days soon , these portals will come out with such a feature on their web sites and make it freely / easily accessible to all , and provide RSS feeds

#   Missing " Search Parameter " ........ " By Actual Designation "

#  To show only 5 bars ( in graphs ) at a time , instead of 10 bars , in order to improve legibility , with
     provision for clicking on " Previous <  > Next " , to reveal another 5 bars

#  Just below the sentence " The search results are based on our database of .............. jobs " ,

    add following :

   "  Number of Job Advertisements added to database , yesterday ....................

Can both these dynamically changing counters be placed inside a rectangular box , for better appearance
and catching visitor attention ? May be the numbers , themselves , could be in BLUE colour !

#  In the graphs themselves , those numbers ( of job advts ) are encroaching inside the bars , making these
difficult to read

Can these be moved out ( above each bar ? ) and in YELLOW ( or any contrasting ) colour ?

PHASE II :

Every week , we should try and upload , at least ONE more graph , giving some more ANALYTICS

Visitors ( listed above in page write-up ) will , want to see / know , how the jobs are changing over past 7 years ( a kind of trend / pattern over the past 7 years ) , which could ( hopefully ) lead to some kind of " PREDICTION " for the current / next year ( even a simple extrapolation or thru use of " Line of Best Fit ( Chi-Square Analysis ) "


I request that you take up development of following graphs ( one each for " Total " / given Industry / given Function / given Designation Level / given Actual Designation " etc )
