Rohan
Thanks
for your analysis of the situation. We have to face and live with the “
reality”
Based
on this, let us do the following :
Ø Remove the FAQ page
altogether ( by hiding the link ? )
Ø Insert wherever required,
clear statements telling the candidates that only their TEXT resumes get
delivered to recruiters. Graphs can be seen only when recruiters are ONLINe
Ø For each Function /
Skill, tabulate keywords and their weightages, side-by-side, as found in
IndiaRecruiter and in CustomizeResume databases. This will throw some light on
what we need to do to boost the raw scores in all cases. Of course, increasing
the no of keywords [ in any given Function / Skill database ],may improve the
probability of “ catching “ that keyword in a resume but , at the same time ,
it will reduce the weightage of each keyword in the database , since total
remains 1.00

Subject: RE: Raw scores
Other day we talked about candidates being
put off due to low raw scores coming for their skills and not for
just raw scores as ZERO.
I think you misunderstood what all we
discussed in the past and that day during our meeting. We can certainly modify
functionality to not display the function/skill graph where raw scores are ZERO
but these cases are few compared to candidates receiving low raw scores but
greater than ZERO.
Through CustomizeResume site, candidates
can customize their online resume and store on our site and
employers/recruiters can view these customized resume versions online.
I don’t see anywhere code or
functionality where these customized resumes are being delivered to
employers/recruiters. There is no feature or code written in CustomizeResume
(when it was handed to us) to perfectly convert these online resume’s with
graphs to a proper doc or PDF format that can be delivered to
recruiters/employers.
I think wherever you have made claims on
your site about this, you didn’t review properly whether the feature is
actually working as desired.
May be you have given write-ups to your
earlier developers and they have just copy pasted whatever you have given
without anyone developing, checking or testing whether these customized
versions are actually delivered or not.
Thanks,
Rohan

Other day
we talked about the possibility of candidates being put-off if their raw score
is ZERO.
One way out
could be that in those cases where the raw score is ZERO, we just do not
display the Function / Skill graph !
Please
consider and let me know what you think
In any
case, wherever applicable [ eg ; “ Job Suggest “ page / “ Resume Blast “ page etc
], shall we add the following line ?
Ø Only your TEXT resume will get
delivered – but not your GRAPHS. A recruiter can see your Graphs only when he
searches for resumes online “
I am
getting confused !
It seems,
elsewhere, we have made claims to the contrary !
We are “
enabling “ the candidates to “ Customize / Develop “ – and store / select any
of the 3 versions of his resume for forwarding to recruiters “.Obviously these
versions contain graphs !
May be you
can come-up with some clever solution
Regards
