Dear Mr Singh ,

Next week , we will upload on B2B , databases of ,

*    364    Indian Ambassadors / Consul Generals / Consuls / Trade Commissioners

*    345   Industry Associations  /  Trade  Bodies

*      84   Professional  Associations

#    How will these databases help INDIAN companies  ?

Using B2B messaging service , Indian Companies will be able to send messages to Indian Ambassadors / Consuls / Trade Commissioners around the World , to recommend to

them , Foreign Companies for Technology licensing / Joint Ventures / Export / Import etc

#   How will these help FOREIGN companies  ?

Foreign Companies will be able to send messages to local Indian Ambassadors / Consuls / Trade Commissioners etc , for

    >     Investment related policies / rules / regulations / procedures etc

    >    recommending suitable Indian Companies for Joint Ventures / Licensing etc

#   How will these help our Ambassadors / Consuls / Trade Commissioners , posted abroad  ?

B2B server will email to concerned Indian Ambassadors / Consuls  / Trade Commissioners  etc , a SUMMARY of Interest Messages ( " We are interested in talking to you " ) , Section I of FORM DESIGN ,

sent by Foreign Companies to 2,28,000 + Indian Companies ( listed on B2B as per 52 Industry Sectors and located in 2,000 + Indian cities )

This will help our Consuls / Trade Commissioners etc to pro-actively bring about a " Marriage " of the interested Foreign Firms with Indian Partners

#   How will this help DIPP  ?

Copies of emailed " SUMMARY STATEMENTS " ( mentioned above ) will enable DIPP to ,

    >    Assign a DIPP officer ( God Father ) to follow up these "  Interest Messages  " , till successful implementation of Investment Project by Foreign parties

#   What is required to bring this about  ?

Your decision re uploading a simple HTML page ( " Database of Indian Companies " ) on MakeInIndia web site ( - a  2 / 3 hour job , at the most )

#   Can this decision be reversed in future  ?

If , at any time in future - and for any reason what-so-ever - should you want to reverse this decision , it will take just 5 minutes to remove this page from MakeInIndia

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain !

Your " QUICK / BOLD / HONEST / TRANSPARENT / OUT-OF-BOX " decision will transform MakeInIndia , from a STATIC reservoir of information to a DYNAMIC river of information flow between :

>      Foreign Companies interested to invest in India

>      Indian Companies looking for FDI / JV / Technical Collaboration / Export / Import etc

>      Indian Ambassadors / Consuls / Trade Commissioners posted abroad ( Ace Salesmen of Brand India )

>      DIPP

Dear Shri Singh ,

Along with my earlier email ( Oct 13 ) , I had attached , a CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK for a new MakeInIndia page called :

" Indian Companies Registration " page ( Attachment B )

Now for that page , attached find a proposed FORM  DESIGN , for your consideration

After your approval ( with whatever changes that you might desire ), we would be happy to help out with necessary DATABASE  STRUCTURE , if required

You will notice that :

>     I have designed a COMMON form , for both , Indian and Foreign Companies

>    To motivate Corporate to fill in the minimum MANDATORY sections , many sections are marked " OPTIONAL " ( these can be rearranged in two separate groups )

If implemented quickly , this would enable ,

>    MakeInIndia to emerge in course of time , as a comprehensive SEARCH ENGINE for both , Foreign and Indian Companies to find each other

>   DIPP officers / Indian Ambassadors / Consul Generals / Trade Commissioners , to daily look up a SUMMARY of Section I ( thru ADMIN section on MakeInIndia web site ) and find out ,

" WHO ( Which Foreign Company ) needs WHAT kind of help from DIPP "

Then , make those lightening phone calls , saying :

" We have noted your requirements and this is how we propose to help "  !

I have no doubt that if quickly implemented , such a " Make-Over / Re-incarnation " of MakeInIndia will vastly improve India's rank on " Ease of Doing Business "

Please feel free to phone me ( 0-98,67,55,08,08 ) for any clarification / question / help

with regards ,

Dear Mr Singh ,

Following is for your consideration

*  "  DATABASE  OF  INDIAN  COMPANIES "

You may consider providing such a link on MakeInIndia web site ( right at the top , on every page )

Any visitor , clicking on that link will see a page , as per Attachment A

Since this is a plain text document , it should take less than a day to upload

*  "  INDIAN  COMPANIES REGISTRATION "

You may consider providing such a link on MakeInIndia web site

Any executive ( of an Indian Company ) clicking on that link , will see a page as per Attachment B

Such registrations will help MakeInIndia to gradually build-up a comprehensive database of lakhs of Indian

    Companies

In course of time , this database can be made " searchable " by Foreign visitors

If need be , my technical team would be happy to help design the necessary DATABASE STRUCTURE , for this

page

If there are any questions , feel free to phone ( 0-98,67,55,08,08 )

Awaiting your feedback and with regards ,

Dear  Team / MakeInIndia,

Thank you for your prompt response

I await the feedback from Shri Singh

While on the subject , you may wish to consider :

>  On every page of MakeInIndia web site , providing some counters ( such as HISTAT / LIVE TRAFFIC FEED etc , - the kind you find on B2B ) , to give some idea of the traffic . These are  FREE  and take only a few minutes to install

Since MakeInIndia's primary target is Foreign Companies ,"  Live Traffic Feed   " will show you the countries from which your visitors are arriving

>  In fact , it is possible to install separate counters on each page , which show you who / how many visitors visited that particular page ( somewhat like Google Analytics )

>  Using some API ( from Google Analytics ? ) , you may even show to all the visitors , how many minutes did these visitors spend on any particular page , on an average. This will tell you what information , your visitors are MOST interested in

>  One feature which I consider of UTMOST importance , is a 24 hour LIVE CHAT facility with your visitors ( something which Govt of India can easily afford and which will go a long way in establishing a VERY PERSONAL and COMMITTED relationship with your visitors )

>  You may also wish to consider installing a CHAT ROOM ( monitored by ADMIN ) , where visitors can ask questions / share their site-experiences and generally form a COMMUNITY

I have no doubt , implementing above-mentioned features will make a user-friendly MakeInIndia web site

with regards ,

Good Governance thru DIGITAL INDIA

Dear Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad ,

Among many commendable initiatives that you have taken to use Digital Technology for empowerment of ordinary Indians , I urge you to consider launching following 2 Mobile Apps , suggested by me ( on my web site...www.hemenparekh.in  ) :

Please feel free to phone me (M) 0-98,67,55,08,08 , for any clarifications

with regards ,

( click to view my profile )

Mumbai,

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I SIN><U SIN
( May be a beginning could be made with Maharashtra )

That could be the name of an android app ( I Seek It Now > < U Solve It Now )

To be developed by India’s Central Home Ministry for successful implementation of proposed,

“ Delivery  of  Services  Act “

The app will come pre-installed on those mobile phones which Government of India plans to distribute FREE , to some 400 million “ Poor People “ of India , before the 2014 National Election ( and on those 220 million Aakash Tablets )

Issuer will enter the Mobile No and that person’s Aadhar Card No, in a computerized central database , before issuing the phone

Hence , no need to login to the App , whose screen will read  :

“ I wish to send my complaint to the following department :

  • National Commission for Women

  • Garbage Clearance

  • Water Supply

  • Electricity Supply

  • Roads Repair

  • Rationing ( Food Distribution )

  • Police

  • Bus Transport

  • Railways

  • Post

  • Employment

  • Education

  • Irrigation

  • Building Permits

  • Revenue / Land Records

  • Anti Corruption

  • Other ……………………………………….etc
(List should not exceed 50)

Touching name of any department name will open a SMS message box where the user will type out his complaint ( in a language of his choice )

There will be option to speak-out and record voice message , for illiterate users

Touching SEND button will transmit the complaint and within minutes, user will receive SMS reply , giving,

  • Name of Officer responsible

  • Office Landline No

  • Mobile No

  • Email Id

  • Complaint No

  • Expected date of solving

Bingo !

Then publish online , a tabulation of departments , arranged in the descending order of the no of complaints received / cleared / pending!

This frugal innovation will bring in Good Governance all over India

Request Nandan Nilekani / Sam Pitroda to help out , even though they may be busy implementing my earlier suggested app ,

“ VotesApp “

I have no doubt that the political party which promises , “ I SIN >< U SIN “ ,  will get voted to power in 2014

VotesApp

Here is a suggestion to IIT-Bombay , to develop a voting app , to be called VotesApp. Highlights of VotesApp :

Ø  An Android app which can be downloaded from Google Play / Android Zoom / GetJar and the official web site of Election Commission of India

Ø  It will be pre-loaded on 220 million Aakash tablets  which Govt of India plans to distribute to students

Ø  It will also be pre-loaded on those Smart phones ( to be called, “ Dharati “ ? ), which Govt of India plans to distribute free to 400 million “ poor “ Indians , before 2014 National elections

Ø  All tablet / smart phone manufacturers will be encouraged to pre-load VotesApp

Ø  Using this app , a voter can register at Election Commission web site, where he will enter the same data which he has submitted for his Aadhar card, including Aadhar card number (Unique Identification No)

Ø  All of these details will be verified by Aadhar database

Ø  Obviously , those who have not obtained their Aadhar card , will not be able to use VotesApp . They will need to visit nearest polling booth

Ø  Upon correct verification , Aadhar Database will permanently link the person’s Aadhar number with the mobile number from which  registration is done, and issue a Password

Ø  An under aged person will not be allowed to register

Ø  A person will be able to vote only from that mobile number

Ø  After login on first screen, user will be asked to select one option from > Panchayat Election > Municipal Election > State Assembly Election > Lok-Sabha Election

Ø  Upon selection, user will be presented with the list of candidates contesting , from which , he can select only one by ticking a checkbox. There will be also a choice , labeled “ None “

Ø  A long press on a candidate’s name will display details of his declared assets as also his criminal record

Ø  After ticking / selecting a candidate, voter will click on  “ VOTE “ button, whereupon his vote gets registered and VotesApp gets inactivated

Ø  Once a voter registers on Election Commission web site , he cannot go to a poling booth and vote physically

Ø  In less than one year , Govt of India will recover the cost of 220 million Aakash tablets and 400 million” Dharati “ smart phones , through this customized / personalized / shrinking of EVMs ( Electronic Voting Machines ) to a hand-held device. And imagine the millions of man-hours saved !

Ø  And the beauty is , no one can capture this booth , or conduct exit polls ! What will “ experts “ discuss on TV channels ?

Ø  What next ? Election Commission “licensing “ this App to other countries ?

MakeInIndia as an ACTION - MONITORING PLATFORM

Dear  Siddharth ,

In itself , MakeInIndia web site is a great initiative where Foreign Companies can find , almost all the info re Investment Opportunities in India

But can we turn MakeInIndia , into something far more effective ( in attracting Foreign Investments ) than a mere " Source of Information "  ?

For example , can it be made into a " Hand - Holder " for a Foreign Investor , all the way till he actually starts production in India  ?

Can ADMIN page of MakeInIndia be made to look like a ,

>    Flight Deck of a fighter plane  ?

>    Dashboard of a Supertanker  ?

>   Control Room of a Power Station /  Refinery  ?

With DIPP officers constantly watching ( on the ADMIN page ) , the activities taking place ( eg: Registrations on MakeInIndia web site  and  Messages being blasted from B2B web site )

And then assigning a specific officer to act as the GOD FATHER of each Foreign Company registering  and requesting some kind of " Assistance " ( see Section I of FORM DESIGN )

The ADMIN page should have :

>      Year / Month / Date wise ,  search and display

>     Foreign Company-Name wise , search and display

>     Indian Company Name wise , search and display

>     God-father Name wise , search and display

>     Foreign  Country - wise , search and display

>    Type of Assistance Requested-wise , search and display

>    Message-Recipient Indian Company-wise , search and display

Some 50 years ago , when Admiral Rickover ( of US Navy ) , floated a tender for the first nuclear warship , he insisted that only bids accompanied with a PERT chart , will get considered

He understood that building a nuclear warship is a PROJECT , where PERT ( Project Evaluation and Review Technique ) was the key to timely completion

He was right  !

Since then , each and every major US Govt tender insists on the bidder to submit a PERT chart

This is a major reason , most US Govt projects do get completed ON TIME

It is no different with a Foreign Investment Project - which , in my opinion , must be accompanied with a PERT chart , clearly displaying , the CRITICAL PATH

There is no insurmountable difficulty in monitoring each Foreign Investment Proposal on MakeInIndia , using a PERT chart

If India wants to improve its , " Ease of Doing Business " rank from 142 to 42 , this could be THE way forward

Please do not hesitate to phone me ( 0-98,67,55,08,08 ) , if I could be of any help
