It must be just luck that the following link arrived in my mail box , a few minutes back
Considering that Shivanand has just begun work on designing my blogging site , the contents / advice in this link are EXTREMELY RELEVANT
Kailas must explain these to Rajesh ( who is typing all handwritten notes ) so that , at the typing stage itself , all these points are taken care of
It will not be possible to EDIT any article , once it is uploaded !
Idea of “ Sharing Buttons ( Facebook / Twitter etc ) should be incorporated in each and every article

Downside of B2B ?

Dear Team

As it is , all of us receive daily , many unsolicited promo emails ( for products / services )
Sender has picked up from somewhere our email ID and stored in his database
Of course , he does not know the name of our Company / Organization
And every email ID in the database gets the same promo email – whether it is relevant or not
Most of the times there is no provision to create  targeted Mailing Lists
In B2B , we are enabling the Senders to overcome these limitations

Ø Industry-wise / City-wise names of recipient companies  are readily available for selection

Ø No need to harvest email IDs from any source – in order to create a database

Ø Targeted Mailing Lists can be created and stored for future repeated use

On top of this , our database of Recipient Companies will be nearly 4 lakhs to begin with
And , given our facilitating features , I am sure , thousands of additional companies will register before long
In India alone , there are 12 MILLION SME ( Small and Medium Enterprises ) as per Google !
All over the World , there could be 200 MILLION who could use our GLOBAL platform !
Many of these are selling their Products / Services , only to other Businesses ( and not to end-user consumers )
Given this scenario , is it likely that B2B may open-up the floodgates of Unsolicited Promo Emails ?
Is it possible that the Mail Boxes of recipient companies will get flooded with such emails , irritating the Recipients ?
Answer :
Yes - it is very very possible !

Can we think of a solution whereby,

Ø Senders may continue to blast away their promo emails as planned by us in B2B

But , at the same time,

Ø Mailboxes of the recipient companies do NOT get flooded ?

It is possible , if we adopt the solution ( Rh+ ) , which we had  adopted in our earlier web site , www.IndiaRecruiter.net
The following link will tell you what we had done earlier,

http://web.archive.org/web/20080207115806/http://www.indiarecruiter.net/wfrmRhPositive.aspx

Of course , this will require creating a “Unsolicited Mail Capture “ ( UMC ) page for each and every of those 4 lakh recipient companies to begin with
And thereafter , creating such a page for every new registrant
Then , our email to the recipient companies will simply read :

Dear Sir / Madam

Company / Organization / Institute… XYZ… has a product / service to offer to you
Using our FREE service , they have sent to you , a promo email
In order not to flood your mailbox with unsolicited emails , we have stored this message in a page which we have exclusively created for you on our web site
We call this page , Unsolicited Mail Capture ( UMC ) . You can access your UMC , anytime you wish , at your convenience
Just CLICK HERE to see all such mails sent to you
From your UMC  , you can even,

Ø Send a reply / inquiry to the sender

Ø Phone and talk to sender

Ø Visit sender’s Web Site

Thru this UNIQUE arrangement , we hope to eliminate once and for all , flooding of your Mailbox – no doubt a huge relief !
UMC  allows YOU to decide,
Ø Which promo email YOU wish to open / read / respond to , and

Ø When

And , of course , we would be happy , if you too are equally considerate to YOUR potential customers and decide to use our free service
Together , let us change the Rules of Online Marketing , viz:
Let everyone solicit but no one suffer !

I am forwarding this to those on my Seniors email list because it is so well written

Please send back. (I did) It's neat. Don't delete this one, you'll laugh when you see the return message.

As I've aged, I've become kinder to, and less critical of, myself. I've become my own friend.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world, too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

Whose business is it, if I choose to read, or play on the computer, until 4 AM, or sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 50s, 60s & 70s, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love, I will.

I will walk the beach, in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves, with abandon, if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set. They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And, eventually, I remember the important things.

Sure, over the years, my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break, when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are what give us strength, and understanding, and compassion. A heart never broken, is pristine, and sterile, and will never know the joy of being imperfect.

I am so  blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face. So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore.  I've even earned the right to be wrong.

So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day (if I feel like it).

MAY OUR  FRIENDSHIP NEVER COME APART, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S STRAIGHT  FROM THE  HEART!

Forward this to at  least 7 people, and see what happens on your screen. You will laugh your head  off!

RE: Reconnecting

Dear Naveenbhai

Nirmit told me about your visit. He also gave me the brochures of “ Undergrad Abroad Planner

If it is ok with you , can we meet in my office on next Wednesday at 10 am ?

For over 10 years now , I have pulled out of day-to-day operations of 3P. Nirmit manages everything

I have kept myself busy with my obsession of developing Online Recruitment Portals

The first was www.3pjobs.com ( launched on 14 Nov 1997 ) – now renamed www.3pConsultants.co.in

www.StrategicHr.co.in , which followed , also survives

However , the following few got launched and got closed , within short periods :

For the last 2 years , I am focused on growing www.CustomizeResume.com

About 18 months back , I launched a Android Mobile App , “ My Jobs “ , which HP Labs – Bangalore developed for me , free of cost

Then 3 months back , I launched another Mobile App , “ Resume Blaster “ , which I am now busy promoting

You will see these described on www.CustomizeResume.com

For getting , “ My Jobs “ pre-loaded on their Mobile phones , I had approached quite a few Smart phone / tablet manufacturers , including Videocon , who replied as follows :

·         "Dear Hemen,
Your application is good but we do not want to preload it with our phone because We do not want
to preload too many applications in our phones since we want to give flexibility to customers
to download and delete as per their wish.
Let us look for some other opportunity for collaboration.
     Thanks for your support."
Khalid Zamir, Videocon Mobiles (Feb 21,2013)

To which , I replied :

Dear Khalid

Many thanks for writing :

Ø “ Your application is good…… “
Ø “ Let us look for some other opportunity for collaboration “

I appreciate your views about giving your customers “ flexibility “ in the matter of Apps

As far as I am concerned , it turns out that “ My Jobs “ was not an app that you just cannot refuse !

No problem . In 3 or 4 weeks, I will return with our next app, “ Resume Blaster “, which will enable a jobseeker to blast his resume to over 90,000 companies located in 665 towns of India

He will be able to select all companies within a specific Industry or all companies in a given town or any specific company by its name

And blast for FREE ! Our sever will deliver his resume

Then in 6 to 8 weeks , our Company Database will grow to 700,000 + companies

Perhaps , you are aware that , today , major job-portals charge , anywhere between Rs 1,500 /- to Rs 3,000/- for sending a candidate’s resume to 1500 companies

Talking of some other opportunities to collaborate , only limitation is our “ Imagination

Many years back , when Videocon came out with an “ Internet TV “ , we signed up as your partner and my earlier web site URL was pre-installed on your TV. You even sent me a TV for experimentation ! But then Videocon did not pursue that project

I had even conceptualized a special REMOTE ( for this TV ), which would essentially serve as a “ Mouse “ to navigate my job site on Videocon TV

If desired , I can find and send you my notes on the subject

Videocon is in an enviable position because, you have :

Ø Hardware Platform

# Smart phone ( 3” screen )

# Tablet          ( 7 “ screen )

# TV               ( 21” screen )

Ø Delivery Platform

# DTH

# Digital Cable ? ( I am not sure )

# MSP

Why cannot job alerts which are “ perfectly matched with the resume of a candidate “ , be delivered,

Ø On whatever hardware he wants ( 3” / 7” / 21” )

Ø Thru whichever “ Delivery Service “ he chooses ( ISP / MSP / Cable / DTH etc )

Ø Whenever he wants ( at home / at office / on the bus )

Already now , most gadgets have own IP addresses

Soon everything will have an IP address (IP V.6 )

Data ( what a job alert really is ) will move seamlessly across all platforms and all delivery channels

2 years back , I had sent proposals to a few TV Channels to launch a “ Job Alert Channel “ to be powered by RecruitGuru

If Videocon is interested , I can send you full proposal

I would be happy to come over for a discussion , if desired

With regards

Hemen

TV- internet marriage awaits blessings of all “ :

[ The blending of television and the Internet is inevitable. But will it happen in concert with the major cable and satellite distributors, or in spite of them ?

All involved know that connecting the Internet to television and vice-versa could solidify the distributors’ place in the food chain – or greatly erode it.

We want to use all this technology to make a better consumer experience “, Glenn Britt, chief executive of Time Warner Cable, said in an interview after speaking on stage here.

A better experience, it stands to reason, will help Time Warner Cable and other cable companies retain customers, protecting the lucrative subscription TV business from the prospect of cord-cutting. ]

In Job Alert Channel, we are talking of a marriage of

Ø  TV          ( BigTV DTH )

Ø  Internet  ( www.Bigtv.co.in )

Ø  Cable      ( Digicable )

Ø  Mobile     ( Reliance Mobile )

Rest , let us discuss when we meet

I will remember

Dear Maneesh

Just read about your mother’s passing away
When I was in Kansas ( 1956-58 ) , Doctor JJ and Suneeta were like a family
I was junior and lonely and they looked after me – as they did with many home-sick Indian students like me
Their kindness and love are etched deep into my memory – never to fade away
May God grant all of you strength to remember her love and to carry forward her legacy
