Facebook Replies

Yesterday , there was following news report :
Subsequently,
the Ministry of Electronics & IT on March 28, 2018, sent a letter to
Facebook seeking their response to the five questions, including,
whether
personal data of Indian voters and users has been compromised by Cambridge
Analytica or any other downstream entity in any manner,
and
if so, how was it compromised?”
The government has also asked the
US-headquartered firm
if
any downstream entity misused data from Facebook,
what
is the protection available to the data subject,
what
are the specific steps proposed to be taken by Facebook to prevent any misuse of personal data for potential interference in, or
manipulation of the Indian electoral process ?
I imagine Facebook reply to run like this :

Now , we are sure that you must have noted that , out
of our deep concern for the privacy of the personal data of our users , unlike
many of our Social Media and Mobile App competitors , we have ,

refrained
from asking our users , permission to “ sell their
parents – spouses – kids and near relatives “ on e-com site such
as eBay – Flipcart etc ,

that
this will not be considered as “ misuse
“
Of course ,you would have also noticed our following condition
:
“ For any legal dispute between the User and Facebook
in respect of what constitutes any “ misuse “ of
the data provided by the user or the data picked up by us, the binding
jurisdiction shall be that of the International Court
at Geneva , and that the Government of the country of the User , shall have no
claim in respect of such litigation “
