Only this morning , we finally succeeded in uploading on Watson , job advt database of approx 1.8 Million jobs

Tomorrow morning , I will sit with Prashant and try to see what kind of " Analytics " are we able to see

If we face any problems , will phone you or write to you

As far as uploading of Resumes is concerned , we decided NOT to touch the database from File Finder ( all , being very SENIOR EXECUTIVES )

Instead , we have started the process of " compiling " into one file , some 10 million records of junior executives ( mostly fresh graduated ) , spread over 200 + Excel sheets . This may take 8 / 10 days

I will keep you informed of the progress

During our tele-conference , there was one concern that I forgot to mention
 
When we connect those 70,000 + executive records with Watson Analytics , is there even a small possibility that the same can be accessed by any other user of Watson ? or by IBM itself , for some other use ?
 
How do we ensure the privacy of these executives who have given us their resumes in TOP CONFIDENCE ?
 
I would appreciate if you can clarify this before we proceed

As decided , Shuklendu will register today , and establish connection of 2 million job advts database with Analytics to understand what different types of graphs can it generate . Whether or not to upload these graphs online - and if so , on which of our web sites - we will decide based on the results obtained from Shuklendu's experimentation

As far as database of 70,000 + executive records in FILE FINDER is concerned , we have started the process of putting these in Excel sheet . Hopefully , that should get over by tomorrow evening . Then , on Friday , Prashant / Harsha will connect the same and experiment

- You can using filefinder as a search tool and visualization tools.
- All data is currently stored in SQL server

Hi Hemen,

Thanks for sharing the information.

Your use case looks perfect and this is exactly what Watson Analytics is meant to do. Data mining, uncover insights from data and then present it easily visually for business people to take action on.

Watson Analytics is capable of data mining on any data that you have collected and identify relationships between the data. Although it can't tell you exactly which company would advertise which kind of but we help users obtain decision trees that can be navigated to come to a decision. However, one thing to note is that Watson Analytics does not provide integration at the application level (only database), and therefore visualizations/dashboards have to me manually extracted and uploaded into your portal.

I am suggesting for us to get on a conference call to understand more about your requirements before our physical meeting so that in case if we were to proceed for a physical meeting, it would be more productive.

How does that sound to you?
