Nitin
Just remembered one more New Request , viz: SUBSCRIBE
Subscribing will allow the subscriber ( need not be "
registered " ) to receive SMS alerts
In our case , such SMS alerts will pertain to MESSAGES
posted by Registered Subscribers
" Subscribe " will be a link in the navigation bar
Clicking which will reveal :
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Visitor ,
From the following list , select the types of messages ( max 3 )
for which , you wish to receive SMS alerts :
> Message Types drop list
> Your Email ID..................
> Your Mobile No...................
SUBMIT
-------------------------------------
Nitin ,
What will the SMS say ?

PS
I want to avoid the expense of sending an email alert thru
Netcore

Nitin,
Thanks for fixing target upload dates
I think , as far as Item#5
( Corrections ? ) is concerned , it cannot be called a " New Request
" ! I am sure you would have done it on your own ( without my pointing out
) as soon as you looked for obvious " Errors
" on all pages
Keep looking at all other pages and you will come across similar
" corrections " which are purely in the nature of " Consequential Changes " to be carried out
simultaneously ,whenever a new feature gets
introduced , without waiting for me to point out !
Even item # 4 (
Policy Makers Targeted button ) is only an
extension of the logic which we already established with introduction of
" This Message was Blasted To " button ! I had pointed this out in
one of our telephonic talks
Apart from what you have listed in your email , please provide
" Target Upload Dates " for the following " New
Requests " :
# " This Message was
Blasted To " button
-------------------------------------------
By placing a dynamic
counter next to this button , I would like to show to the visitors , as
to " How Many " organizations,
was this message blasted . Ditto
with the button , " Policy Makers Targeted " button
Pl show me the proposed design ,
before proceeding
# " Facebook /
LinkedIn - like " features
-------------------------------------------
When a registered User posts any
Message on these sites , there are buttons saying :
Like
/ Comment / Share
I would like some similar features on
messages visible on " World
Wide Wall "
Q :.... Should these buttons be
clickable only by other REGISTERED subscribers , or by ANY visitor ?
What would happen when someone clicks on any of these buttons ?
Will a counter go up ? Would a posted comment appear right below that Message ?
Would the Message-poster get an SMS intimation that someone has " liked /
Commented / Shared " his message ?
These
buttons have the potential to popularize our service and motivate the
Message-Posters to come forward and post more messages
Eg :
Every day , after posting one of my poems on my Facebook page ,
I visit it several times during the day , just to see if any one of my "
friends " have " liked " it or " commented upon " it
or " shared " it !
Can you imagine what this could do for the " REPEAT VISITS " !
The poem that I posted today morning got " liked " within
a few minutes by a niece !
Of course , I found out by visiting my page . May be I also got
an email where clicking on a link took me to my poem !
In our case , there is , even a far superior (
to Facebook / Linkedin ) , potential for motivating the Message-Posters
In the form of a button called " I Endorse
" which will appear on only those messages that got blasted to Policy
Makers
Logic is as follows :
> Only a registered Subscriber can click on " I Endorse
" button
( Next to the " Policy Makers Targeted
" button )
> If and when , a registered subscriber clicks on this
button , following things will happen :
* Message-Poster will get
an SMS which reads , " Your message........... just got endorsed by
................ "
* All the Recipients (
those Policy Makers to whom the message was blasted by the Message-Poster ) ,
will get an Email ( cannot send them an SMS , since we do not have the Mobile
Numbers of MPs / MLAs / Ministers ) , which reads ,
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Policy Maker :
" Suggestion Title :
......................
Suggested By
: Name :........................
Sent to you on
: Date
Got endorsed by
: Name / Email Id ( clickable )
The endorser
will appreciate if you give your feedback by posting your COMMENT
under this suggestion appearing on,
World Wide Wall
( hyperlink )
Hemen parekh
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If the " Endorser
" is clearly told ( thru a Note on the Message ) , that in case he "
endorses " any message , his " endorsement " will be conveyed as
an email to all the Recipient Policy Makers , he
will be extremely motivated to click that button !
One serious problem :
We just cannot afford to send ( may be ) 2500 Endorsement-Emails
, thru Netcore , for each endorsement !
We will soon go broke !
Is there a way , that these Endorsement Emails can be sent
directly , bypassing Netcore ?
If yes , this could be our " Killer Feature
"
I would request you to find some way
> Apart from
the above-mentioned new " Requests " , I have sent you one, as
follows, on 28 March:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I
need a TOOL , to help me do such follow up efficiently ( less effort and less
time )
This could
be in the form of a TABULATION in our ADMIN page , called SUBSCRIBER
FOLLOW-UP
Consider
following " Columns " :
>
Serial Number
>
Date of Registration ( Arranged in reverse chronology )
>
Subscriber Contact Details
* Company / Org Name
* Type
* City / Country
* Executive Name
* Phone No
* Email Id ( clickable )
>
Activity Details
* Whether Message Composed ( Clickable Message Number to display Message
)
* Message Status ( Approved / Rejected )
* Blast Status ( Not Blasted / Blasted )
* If blasted , then to " No of companies to which blasted / last
date of blasting "
>
Reminder Details ( Dates of past emails )
Clicking on
Subscriber's Email Id , will ,
>
Open up Outlook
>
Fill up all the above mentioned details
>
Allow me to write below the details , a few
lines to inquire / motivate
If the
volume goes up very much , then I can even " standardize " on a few
MESSAGES , which , I should be able to simply " Insert " at the
bottom , by selecting ( ticking )
Please
take up development of such a TOOL , after completing your current Schedule
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coming to
think of this , why should such follow-up of Subscribers need to be carried out
" Manually " ?
Most
E-Commerce sites do such Follow-up automatically , by triggering a CANNED message
to go out , from time to time , without human intervention
Pl develop
this TOOL in such an AUTOMATIC fashion

Incorporating additional ( newly added ) types at
"
Organization Nature " in SITE STATISTICS box
Incidentally , this morning , I blasted one message ( Land Acquisition Solution
) to everyone listed on " Influence Policy Makers " page . May be 300
blasts .
But the
counter still shows 2262 ! Pl correct this
I hope
these messages will go today to Netcore
