Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

Reviving of Web Sites

Rahul

Many thanks for visiting our office last saturday to help revive ,

>  IndiaRecruiter.net

>  GlobalRecruiter.net

>  RecruitGuru.com

As you mentioned , I do hope you succeed in finding the missing source-code on your personal computer at home

If you do , that could be the breakthrough !

In the meantime , at TMI Network ( Hyderabad ) , both Naveen Pammy and Jijo Abraham are continuing their efforts to revive these , with whatever code we gave them

But , since you were the Project Manager when these sites got developed , it is likely that you have some " Insights / Inputs "  , which , you may want to share with Naveen / Jijo

If so , I would request you to do so

I was very happy that you vividly remembered the main concept behind the GlobalRecruiter.net , viz:

>  Any person can set up his own " Satellite Job Portal " within ONE HOUR , by simply copy / pasting , snippets of code from GlobalRecruiter.net, on his site

> This would pull the basic 4 forms / pages ( Job Post / Job Search / Resume Post / Resume Search ) from GlobalRecruiter and display on those Satellite sites

> All data entered into these 4 forms , will get deposited into the CENTRAL DATABASE of GlobalRecruiter

> All of this data can be accessed from ALL the Satellite web sites

> All Satellite web sites will enable ,

   *  Jobseekers to " Search Jobs " and " Apply Online "

   *  Employers to " Search Resumes " and download the same

As I mentioned , between them , Central and the State Governments have , some 914 Employment Exchanges , where approx 430 lakh jobseekers have registered

And , between them , these Exchanges succeed in finding jobs to , no more than 1 lakh persons / year  !

Of late , there has been a lot of news that Central Govt plans on " Digitizing " these exchanges ( whatever that means ! )

If we succeed in reviving GlobalRecruiter.net , then we can make following proposal to Central / State Governments :

>  Let each Exchange register its own URL for a web site

>  Let each Exchange become a " Satellite " of GlobalRecruiter.net ( - within ONE  HOUR  )

>  After this , no exchange will " register " any candidate , by accepting hard-copies of resumes

>  Employees of Exchange will assist incoming jobseekers with submitting their resumes ONLINE on its URL

>  Employees of each exchange will encourage local MSME businesses to register on its Exchange and conduct
" Resume Searches " for nearby residing - and suitable - candidates ( this would require " Street-based Resume
    Search " )

>   some 32 million MSME can be motivated to register ( on their nearest Employment Exchange's Job Portal ) and

     post their Job Advts

>  Services to both , the Jobseekers and the MSME employers , will be FREE

>  With this " Metamorphosis  " ( Caterpillar to Butterfly ! ) of 914 Employment Exchanges , millions of jobs , which today , go " Unannounced ",
will come into " Visible Existence " and become searchable by jobseekers from their tablets

Remember , today , given the Out-of-Reach , subscription rates of Naukri / MonsterIndia /TimesJobs etc , no MSME can afford to publish its one or two jobs / year , on these portals

>  A " My Jobs " type Mobile App , will deliver onto the mobiles of millions of remotely located jobseekers , perfectly
matching Job Alerts and enable those millions of jobseekers to " Apply Online " directly from their mobiles !

Rahul / Naveen / Jijo :

If you can pull this off , you would be remembered for your solution to the BIGGEST problem facing India

This is the time to return to the Society !

regards,

hcp
