Thanks for writing
By extracting " important /
relevant " keywords from thousands of resumes - and equal number of
Job Advts - , we compiled , for each " FUNCTION
" , a set of Keywords ( " Master Set
" , visible in the tool )
To each such Keyword , we assigned a " Weightage "
So , each resume uploaded into the tool , rates it , based on
the sum-total of the Weightages of the actual keywords found in that resume -
and arranges these resumes in the descending order of the RAW SCORE
There is a provision to " Customize
" each of those Master Lists of keywords , by adding and/or deleting
You are right . You can upload into the tool , only resumes
lying on your hard disk
Better , if these resumes are already " pre-grouped " into " Function-wise " folders
The tool actually " Rates and Ranks " all uploaded
resumes based on MULTIPLE keywords ( whether present in the MASTER or in the
CUSTOMIZED set )
When launched first in June 2007 ,
Resume Rater was linked to our web site ....www.IndiaRecruiter.net
Clicking on Re-Set counter enabled the tool to download /
replace the MASTERS , with the latest set / weightages of the keywords from our
site . This was a DYNAMIC / CONTINUOUS process
, on our site
Unfortunately , we de-hosted that site , in 2010 . Hence RE-SET
does not work
To continue , you need to download the tool , afresh from

Dear Mr. Parekh,
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to try "Resume
Rater". As per my understanding, it seems to rank existing resumes which
are in our local database, according to a keyword from the drop down list of
various relevant keywords. What should be the process if we want to choose
multiple keywords for ranking? One other issue I faced was that the counter
doesn't reset and throws a message to check my internet connection. Please note
that the internet was connected at the time.
I shall try it out with our instaTalent application and let you
know the results.
Please let me know if I missed something or if my understanding of
Resume Rater needs correction.
