Nitin
,
As
suggested by you last evening , I plan to visit your office on Monday ( 10 am )
to take a look at the U / I for ,
>
Blast Message - Corporate / Industry wise
( this will require re-naming of current link to , " Blast Message -
Corporate / Industry + City wise " )
>
World - Wide - Wall
In
both the cases , please ensure that the U / I , are complete with the relevant PAGE WRITE-UPS
It
is important to take a look from the view point of a casual visitor and then
ask :
>
Does the page write up CLEARLY explain , what a Visitor is supposed to "
Select " ? and in what sequence ?
>
After each selection , a message must flash , telling him to wait for the page
to refresh , before making the next selection
(
at present , absence of such a warning , makes me select the next criteria
immediately ! I get confused ! )
AND
>
When he selects those " Search Criteria " ( in the prescribed
sequence ) , what Results , can he expect to see ?
>
Upon seeing those results , what is he supposed to do ? ( viz : click the BLAST
button )
As
far as World - Wide - Wall , is concerned , the very first criteria to be selected , will be ,
>
TYPE OF MESSAGE ( from the drop list )
Once
this has been selected , many visitors / subscribers would like to see ALL the
messages ( of the TYPE selected ) , from ALL the Countries
So
, for the next droplist of " COUNTRY
", if option " ALL " is selected , then obviously , there
will no question / option for selecting any COMPANY NAME
Eg
:
- Amitabh Kant ( DIPP ) would want to see " Inviting INDIAN COMPANIES for Technical Collaboration /
Joint Venture " messages
coming in from all the companies from all
the countries
For him , the " TYPE " of message is most important
Similarly
, an Indian Exporter , would want to see " We
want to buy from India " type of messages from all the companies
from all the countries
Only
in those cases , where a visitor selects a particular " Country " (
and not ALL ) , would " Company Name " drop list should appear
NEXT
:
As
soon as any visitor arrives on this page , what will he SEE , even before he
selects anything ?
I
think , I have earlier suggested showing him ALL the " composed / saved
and approved " messages , in reverse chronological order , starting with
the latest . Each to stay on the screen , till he clicks the " PREVIOUS
" or " NEXT " button
