To all
After completing formalities of Washington DC, where the
accident occurred, the last rites were performed at Louisville ( Kentucky - USA
) on 31st July 2013. We followed religion and rituals to the best
possible extent and as per wish of my Aai ( Hemalata Subhedar ), ( and our dear
Dada who did not much like religious rituals ) we arranged for a short
puja / archana, in a local temple in Louisville for wishing peace to the
departed soul, on the 4th of August, followed by archana on 5th & 6th
August.
We are back in India and welcome you home on 10th (Saturday)
or 11th (Sunday) August as per convenience.

only wonderful memories of dear Dada and request you to please refrain from
recalling the tragic incident.

To all
With great grief I have to inform you that today, on the 25th of July 2013 at 9.40 am IST, we lost our foremost founder of DSA, our dear Dada (Vijay Subhedar) from whom we learnt everything and with whose blessings and guidance we grew with dignity and pride, keeping Quality at the Top at all times, Discipline as our Religion & Principles ahead of everything.
During our Washington DC tour in the United States, we had climbed the Hop-On Hop- Off bus and before anyone could be seated, the driver started the bus with a jerk that threw dear Dada off balance while he was climbing to the top floor for site-seeing. He fell on to the landing floor and broke his neck. Dear Aai was watching him from the top and was helpless while me and Aarti being so very close to him on the ground floor, had no time to stop his fall. With immediate first aid from a doctor on board the bus, we could bring him to Emergency Care at George Washington University Hospital, where he was given the best medical treatment possible. Unfortunately, the severity of the fall was felt after 24 hours when he started sinking and finally succumbed this day.
This was never expected and certainly not in this way.
The damage is done but looking at positive side, dear Dada lived a very rewarding and Happy Life for all his 78 years. He remained simple and humble and always helping everyone around. He was deeply concerned with our happenings at our factory and was indeed happy to hear that the labour issues were finally resolved and actually, he looked forward to a full swing action packed regime for reinstating all activities after returning from the US.
For me, he was my Guru and my relationship with him was far beyond father - son. In his later years, he always respected my decision, however wrong it may be and stood by my side at all times, steadfast.
Like him, we all must continue our pursuit to always do the best and achieve our Goals and Never Never Never Give up !
The Show Must Go On !
God bless his soul with freedom and peace and may we all continue to get his guiding light through our journey of life.
Just look around and you will see him somewhere embedded in DSA and in your life, always there for you, when you need him the most.
