Explaining the unique features of JAM, he said :

Customized Resumes

Dear Sir / Madam

                             Customized Resumes

A few days back, I came across a brief write-up ( at “ Virtual “ ) in DNA re :

                            www.EasyJob.net

You write :

“ What makes this site unique is that it has different resume formats for different jobseekers, depending upon their choice of profession…………The site is also extremely helpful to cross-check your resume “.

I have looked up the site and it is indeed helpful.

You may, however, want to share with your readers, some jobseeker-friendly features of my own website

                          www.CustomizeResume.com

Briefly,

Ø      It converts ( online / automatically / instantly ) any text resume into 8 anytical graphs

Ø      By “ reshuffling “ the “ positions “ of these graphs within the resume, a jobseeker can create 40,320 unique versions of his / her resume

Ø      Any 3 versions can be “ saved “ and used at will, to Apply Online against different jobs

Ø      A jobseeker can blast his / her resume to some 39,000 Corporate / Recruitment Agencies around the World

Ø      A jobseeker can receive daily / weekly job-alert emails for matching jobs

Ø      A jobseeker can even pull these matching job-alerts from his / her mobile

and

         even “ Apply Online ” directly from mobile ( even a     low-end / non-GPRS connected handset )

Ø      A jobseeker can download  “ Resume  Rater “ and rate his / her own resume – then compare with the “ Rating Scores “ of friends !

Ø      All of our services are absolutely FREE.

I regret I could not make my email “ short “ as desired.

If there are any questions, feel free to phone me on ( M ) 0-98,67,55,08,08  or ( Off ) 022- 670,70,360

Press Release Summary

Using Tasklet technology developed by HP Labs India, www.CustomizeResume.com enables jobseekers to view WebPages and Apply for jobs directly from low end non-GPRS mobiles. This innovation will provide a level-playing field to jobseekers in remote areas of India without internet access.

Friday, 8 October 2010

Thank You

Dear Revathi

Many thanks for solving all the problems related to JAM tasklet.

Please also convey my thanks to all of your colleagues who worked passionately to bring JAM to this stage.

We plan to start our promo email campaign today. We hope to be able to reach-out to some 300,000 jobseekers ( who have sent their resumes to us over the last 20 years ), in the next 20 days.

I also plan to reach out to mobile-owners in approx. 50 smaller towns by utilizing the services of Bulk SMS service providers such as NetCore and SmsCountry.

Our goal will remain to enable these low-end mobile-owners to “ Experience “ internet thru their mobiles.

A program last evening on NDTV Profit said that nearly 73 % of all internet users in India use it to access “ job-related “ information.

With your continued support, I believe , we should be able to “ deliver “ job-related info to jobseekers in the farthest corners of India.

Thanking you – and your wonderful team, once again

With regards

Commonwealth

There is no dearth of Common-Wealth !

India will spend Rs. 70,000 crores ( $ 17 billion ) on current Commonwealth Games ( Oct.3-14, 2010 ).

Games Organizing Committee ( OC ) claims that the games will create 2.47 million jobs. A beginning has been made by employing some 36 relatives.

But as of May 2010, some 38 million young Indians are waiting for jobs, having registered with 900 + State Employment Exchanges.

To give jobs to all of them, all we have to do is to sanction to the OC, a provisional expenditure of Rs. 1,076,000 crores ( $ 262 billion ) - with a stipulation that the actual figure after 5 years must not exceed the provisional figure by more than 10 times.

They will lose no time by hiring forthwith, additional 540 far-flung cousins / nephews etc.

In India, cousins / nephews have never remained jobless !

A High-Skilled Bondage ?

A High-Skilled Bondage ?

In his book “ Which way’s up ? “, Tory MP Nicholas Boles suggests that , before granting of immigration visas, migrants to UK should be required to furnish a security bond worth Pounds 5,000 for use of “ public services “.

Then he goes on to recommend that the bond amount be refunded to the migrant as soon as he has paid to the Government, taxes exceeding “ many times “ the bond amount.

Now considering that the British Government plans to admit no more than 24,100 highly-skilled immigrants per year, the British Treasury would get richer by 120 million Pounds.

It is another matter that the “ bond income “ will not make much of a dent to the British budget deficit of Pounds 170.8 billion !

Someone may come forward and suggest that every single 5.4 million immigrant to UK (UN Report of 2005 ), should be asked to furnish a 5000 Pound bond.

That would add 27 billion Pounds at one stroke !

Outsourcing has many names

Outsourcing has many names !

Times of India ( Sept. 29, 2010 ) carries a report about a joint study conducted by FICCI and HOSMAC on medical tourism.

They studied tourists traveling to India, for treatments of cosmetic and life-saving surgeries and found that a US citizen saves a lot of expense if he / she obtain such a treatment in an Indian hospital as compared to a US hospital.

Here is “ how much “  :

Angioplasty………………………………..79 % - 82 %

Bypass Surgery………………………….92 % - 93 %

Tummy tuck……………………………….67 % - 89 %

Facelift………………………………………..44 % upwards

If a US Corporate can “ rationalize “ its outsourcing action on the basis of cost-cutting, can US citizens be far behind ?

Surely, diseases do strike even a jobless person !

500,000 patients who came to India in 2009 for medical treatment can’t be blamed !
