Dear Mr. Hemen,
Thanks very much for the update on the Jobs Widget. I am
sorry that I too did not touch base with you for a long time.
I appreciate your efforts to improve the usage of the
Jobs widget, and do look forward to a time when the Job widget can start making
‘real’ advertising revenue.
I am in principle fine with sharing the source code of
the Job widget, but we may need to go through a small non-disclosure agreement
to ensure that the code is not used for any other purpose nor is it
re-distributed or open sourced. Let me check if we have such forms. I
will get back to you by next week for the same.
Meanwhile, I suggest that we promote our SMS and voice interface
for the Jobs widget to get more from the masses to continue to use your portal.
SiteOnMobile is still live and we will be adding more features as well.
Wishing you well.
Thanks and regards
Geetha

Subject: My Jobs Widget
Dear
Geetha
It
has been quite a long time since I updated you on the latest about My Jobs widget
which you developed for RecruitGuru
This
is where it stands at the moment :
Ø It has been
integrated with InMobi Ad Network and
can be downloaded from our web site as well as from Google Play
Ø Datawind , not being happy
with the fill-rate of InMobi , have tied up with Yahoo
Ad Network
Ø Yahoo model will be
CPM ( InMobi is CTR )
Ø Despite a wait of
over 6 months , Datawind has , so far , not received Yahoo SDK
Ø Till this time ,
neither My Jobs nor other apps selected by Datawind , can be integrated
Ø In the meantime
Datawind also ran into difficulties with regard to specs from IIT-Rajasthan and
deliveries from QUAD corp
Ø Govt asked
IIT-Bombay to come up with revised specs for Aakash2 , which they did
Ø Datawind delivered
1000 samples ( as per new specs ) to IIT-B , which were tested and approved
Ø Aakash2 is expected
to be launched by Kapil Sibal on Sept 22
Ø Datawind has to
deliver 100,000 tablets to IIT-B , as per new specs
Ø Now Datawind has
started sourcing tablets from some Chinese manufacturer
Ø As far as their
commercial ( non-govt ) versions, Ubislate 7+ and Ubislate 7C , are concerned ,
Datawind are sourcing the same from VMC Corp – Hyderabad
Ø So far
there is very little publicity – and , consequently very little usage – of My Jobs Widget
Ø My efforts to
persuade other tablet manufacturers to pre-install My Jobs , continue
As
soon as there is any significant development , I will keep you informed
In
the meantime , is it possible for you to send
me the source-code for My Jobs widget ?
I
am not interested in your Tasklet Technology based code . Just the Android code for the app
This
will help us to quickly carry out small improvements on our own , without
imposing ourselves on your valuable resources, again and again
I await your favorable decision
With
regards
Hemen
