Re: FW: Widget Problem

Dear Hemanji,

Our technical expert says, that this could be happening because more application are running together or cache memory has increased the size.

Requesting you to kindly uninstalled or clear data(Settings-> Applications -> Manage Application -> Select “Force stop” & “Clear Cache” ) and again install.

We noticed, same problem also happened for other applications like..

Please try and let us know.

It was nice talking to you this afternoon

To summarize :

Ø During my telecom with Nipun Padha ( Datawind – Gurgaon ) , today , he confirmed that “ My Jobs “ widget got tested by their engineers and has been selected for pre-installation on all Aakash / Ubislate 7+ tablets

Ø He has just received the V 2 of Aakash ( 700 Mhz + capacitive screen ) and will once again test My Jobs on V2 in the next 4 /5 days

Ø As soon as he receives sufficient pieces of V 2 , he will replace the older models sent to us earlier

Ø As far as Ad Network is concerned , they are still negotiating with some parties and will let us know in 6 / 8 days. Once they tell us about the network , we will need to integrate My Jobs once again

As regards current usage / earnings from InMobi :

Ø Please login as a Publisher on InMobi web site using, USER ID = hcp@RecruitGuru.com   and   PASSWORD  = crking1857

That will show you up-to-date and detailed statistics

Ø As far as your suggestion re : we ourselves capturing “ Ads Clicked “ data independent of InMobi and then forwarding to you , please send an email to Shuklendu as to what you have in mind and how that can be done

If you will recall , some weeks back , I mentioned that I am , myself very keen to know / capture , not only the No of Ads that got clicked but even WHICH ads got clicked ! That would  enable us to deliver more “ targeted “ ads to that particular widget-user – and from that particular company ( advertiser )

I will be visiting Shuklendu’s office on Friday morning and will phone you from there

With regards

hemen

Many thanks for incorporating these changes

By making it very easy for the user to get one more job alert without having to logout / login , I feel , there will be a strong urge to continue to use the widget

Nitin is now installing it on Aakash tablet and testing it

If everything works fine , which I am confident , Nitin will upload the new files on our own web site as also on Android Market today itself

Thereafter I will request Nipun Padha to download / install  and test

I will keep you informed

I refer to our telecom this morning re showing some default “ advt “ , whenever InMobi fails to deliver a product advt

If something like this is possible , then I would be happy if the following message appears :

www.3pconsultants.co.in   /   For Executive Search , Corporate India’s First Choice

I suppose , a jobseeker who touches this URL , would get to see the homepage of 3P web site

Then , when he closes , he will see one more job alert

Of course , if InMobi does deliver a product advt , then that will be seen by the jobseeker

Hello Siddharth,

As you know, our “My Jobs” free Android widget, integrated with InMobi network, is released on Android Market.

We are developing another free Android widget “Resume Blaster”, which again we want to integrate with InMobi network. Once we have 2 widgets in the market, is it possible to have 2 separate dashboards on InMobi site for these 2 widgets? We would like to monitor the performance & revenue of the 2 widgets separately.

Do we need to have another publisher code for the 2nd widget to do this?

Thanks
Shuklendu

RE: My Jobs Widget

Hi Shuklendu

Currently, in the jobs widget when an advert is clicked the url ‘http://www.customizeresume.com/Jam/widgetadvertclick.aspx?PENID=<pen id>&AdNetwork=InMobi&SlotNo=<slot no>’ is called and entries are made in the customizeresume database.
Suggestion : Can you please add a job to the jobs list for that login, when a call is made to this api? Therefore no changes would be needed in the widget.

Thanks & Regards

This change needs to be done in the widget.

When candidate clicks a product advert, widget calls an url at server. The server program adds one more job alert to the candidate’s list. Widget can get the job alert list with this additional job by calling the server job alert page. This has to be incorporated in the widget.

After delivering 5 jobs , we are insisting that the user clicks / touches a product advt in order to receive one more job alert

This is quite reasonable

But

Why do we make him to log out – then once again login , before he can see that one more job ?

That is adding unnecessary “ friction “ in the , otherwise “ smooth “ process, and must irritate the user ! He must feel as if he is being “ punished “ !

Ideally , he should get to see that additional job immediately after closing the product advt

In this age of “ Everything Instant “ , users’ expectations are very HIGH and their frustration threshold, very LOW ! Patience is not a virtue anymore

Can we do something about this ? Remember , we get only ONE chance to make a GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION

Dear Aditya

Sometime back ,I had sent you a proposal , requesting you to pre-install   My Jobs Widget  ( developed for us by HP Labs – India ), on Android-based Smart phones / Tablets being manufactured by your company
Even as I  await your response , Datawind  have  already started final testing of  My Jobs Widget , and plan to start pre-installing it on all Aakash / Ubislate Tablets , by end of this month
In another 6 / 8 weeks , they will also install our next widget, RESUME BLASTER , which will enable millions of jobseekers to  blast their resumes  ( and absolutely FREE ) to some 59,000 Indian Corporate / Recruiters, thru just 2 taps on their smart phones !
I have no doubt , 36 lakh fresh graduates coming out of Indian Colleges each year , will announce their “ existence “ to the Employers , using RESUME BLASTER
If desired, I would be happy to meet your concerned executive
Just call me on ( M ) 0-98,67,55,08,08 ( Mumbai )
