Subject:
1000 TIMES MORE POWERFUL SOLAR PV PANELS

Dear Akash,

After considerable search, I found your e-mail ID at :

https://parksystems.com/medias/nano-academy/webinars/115-webinars/1903-photovoltaic-effect-in-ferroelectric-materials-by-using-piezoresponse-force-microscopy-pfm-june-17-2020

I hope this message reaches you – and hope you find a few minutes to respond

A few days back, I came across a news report re your research on PV Solar Panels which produced 1,000 times more current

I thought ( if quickly commercialized ), that invention could enable every house ( including small huts ) to generate its own / full requirement of power , by mounting such panels on their Roof Tops / Terraces

That could enable the World to shut down ALL fossil-fuel based power-plants and help avoid climate catastrophe through global warming

Without waiting to check-out with you, I sent out following e-mail to all of India’s Cabinet Ministers :

How to reduce Carbon Emission to Net Zero ? …………….[ 25 July 2021 ]

WHY HAS ROOF-TOP SOLAR FAILED TO TAKE OFF IN INDIA ?

Ø In India, a typical ( concrete / stone ) building has, no more than 500 / 600 sq ft of terrace-space

Ø Even if entire terrace was covered , current PV panels can generate just about 5Kwp of power , which is hardly enough for even ONE flat ( one family ) in that building

Ø That apart, since there is ( at present ), no way in which Solar Power ( generated during the day ) can be stored for use in evening / night

Ø That forces ,

    #  feeding this ( day-time ) power into the grid of local power distribution company ( DISCOM ) , using REVERSE METERING

    #  drawing / using GRID POWER at night

Ø Indian DISCOMs are not happy losing their customers ( reduced demand ) and take weeks / months to grant permission for Reverse Metering ( outright discouragement )

YOUR INVENTION IS THE SOLUTION. HERE IS HOW :

Ø Current PV technology will give 5 Kwp ( from 500 sq ft )

Ø Your tech ( being 1,000 times more productive ), will produce 5,000 Kwp !

Ø Or , just 5 sq ft of terrace, can produce 50 Kwp ( enough for most Concrete / Stone buildings, of which, India could have 50 million , as per my estimate  )

Ø That means ( at a conservative estimate ),these 50 million buildings can generate 250 GW of Roof-top Solar !

Ø As against India’s target of generating 45 GW of Roof-top Solar by next year ( 2022 ), we have so far managed only 5 GW !

HOW CAN YOU HELP INDIA ?

Ø Through your willingness to transfer your technology to several Indian firms manufacturing PV Solar Panels . I request that you make such an offer to ,

      #   Shri R K Singh , India’s Minister for Renewable Energy / rajkumar.singh19@sansad.nic.in

ANY OTHER ISSUE ?

Ø Yes. Each Rooftop Solar installation must be made stand-alone . No feeding day-time power generation into local GRID. No Reverse Metering . Total independence

Ø This would require a reasonably-sized STORAGE BATTERY that can store power for a long period and can be installed on the terrace

ARE SUCH BATTERIES AVAILABLE ?

Ø Fortunately , FORM ENERGY ( Boston / USA ) claim to have developed an IRON-AIR battery that can store power for 100 hours

Extract from their website :

      #    Our first commercial product using our iron-air technology is optimized to store electricity for 100 hours at system costs competitive with legacy power plants

      #    Each individual battery is about the size of a washing machine. Each of these modules is filled with a water-based, non-flammable electrolyte, similar to the electrolyte used in AA

batteries. Inside of the liquid electrolyte are stacks of between 10 and 20 meter-scale cells, which include iron electrodes and air electrodes, the parts of the battery that enable the

electrochemical reactions to store and discharge electricity.

      #   Our battery systems can be sited anywhere, even in urban areas, to meet utility-scale energy needs

      #   LOW-COST > Stores energy at less than 1/10th the cost of lithium-ion battery technology.

      #   RELIABLE > Delivers 100+ hour duration required to make wind, water, and solar reliable, year round, anywhere in the world.

   Dear Akash,

I urge you to respond to my request – even if your answer is “ NO “
