The  Chinese   Are   Coming  !

Remember that old - and hilarious - film , " The Russians are coming "  ?

Being 30/40 years ago , many may not have even heard of it

Now , it is time for Bollywood ( or our business TV channels ? ) to turn out a pot-boiler ,

" The Chinese  are  coming "

Except that , this time , it will not be fiction ! It is real life  !

Some may even classify it as a " Horror Genre " !

Here is the script :

*  A few weeks back , Chinese President Xi JinPing , visited UK and promised investments in

    UK , worth $ 40 Billion

*  A few weeks later , he visited Africa and signed deals worth  $ 60 billion for investments

   in that continent - mostly , in Infrastructure Projects

 

   At about the same time , a BBC TV report spoke of 1 Million Chinese citizens working in

   Zambia ! All over Africa , perhaps 10 Million Chinese are working as " Guest Workers " !

*  A month back , Chinese Prime Minister , Li Keqiang , announced :

    Over the next 5 years ( say , 1000 working days ? ) , China will ,

    #  Invest abroad , $ 10,000  Billion ( $ 10  billion per day )

    #  Buy from abroad , goods worth $ 1,000 billion ( $ 1 billion per day )

*  With its own Capital Market having taken a beating in recent times , Chinese citizens are

    scouting abroad to invest $ 1,400 billion worth of their Domestic Household Savings

*  Chinese company , FoxConn , has planned to invest in India , $ 20 billion in 5 years

*  Chinese Solar Photovoltaic Module manufacturers are planning to invest $ 5 billion in

    India , over next 5 years

*  Chinese are planning to make similar investments in our neighboring  countries like

   Sri Lanka , Pakistan , Nepal , Myanmar , Bangla Desh etc

What can / should, India do  ?

"  If you can't lick them , join them "

Instead of feeling paranoid or panicky, may be , it is time to take on the World with a combination of Chinese capital and Indian manpower

As per latest UN report , with 16 million Indians working / settled abroad , India already leads the list of " Migrant Workers " in the World

That must be the Corner-Stone of our own , " Export Policy " -  Manpower Export

It will be a Win Win formula for both
