translated in French )
This was the outcome of the " Email
Marketing " seminar ( conducted by Netcore ) , last friday
The speaker showed some 15 examples of , what he called, " Promotional Marketing " emails - all of
which contained Images / Photos / Graphics
According to him , this is the latest trend in email marketing :
Impressive and " Current Theme or Event
" related photo / image , with minimal text and , at the bottom a " Call To
Action " - CTA
Some emails even contained FORMS for filling in ( eg: Registration
) and REPLY
You can find many such examples by clicking " PROMOTIONS " button on right hand top
corner of G-Mail
All of these PROMOTIONAL emails are enclosed inside a Border or
a Frame ( rectangular )
Recipients are more attracted to Images / Photos and therefore ,
more likely to read those few lines of text
There is a clear and direct " Contextual
Relationship " between the promo and something that the recipient
has recently read / viewed / experienced in the media
Eg : India launches 5 satellites for France / Germany /
Singapore , yesterday
Why ?
Because India can do this at 50 % of the cost that these
countries would incur , if launched by themselves
