RE: RG Backup Process- 1

Is it true that Google Desktop application , once installed, regularly indexes all the documents on your harddisk and make these documents “ searchable “ just like ISYS ? I believe LUCENT >NET does the same. Both these softwares are FREE.  Question is : are these superior to ISYS ?

Dear Alex / Priya,

We are in the process of rearranging entire Recruit-Guru data in a proper structure, so that the every user in the organization can access the data in prompt fashion. For the same, we will require your assistance to know:-

  1. The current ongoing process to take backup (Daily/Weekly/Monthly) of  Local servers
  2. The current ongoing process to take backup (Daily/Weekly/Monthly) of  Local machines
  3. The current ongoing process to take backup (Daily/Weekly/Monthly) of  Reliance Server (IDC)
  4. All the activities conducted to take the backup, whether on the server, external storage device etc.
  5. Where the backup is stored? (server or external drive)
  6. Where the old data stored?
  7. Where the old user’s data stored? (Local Machine Data)
  8. What type of data is stored on local machines? Can we use centralized directory on server to store the data?
  9. How you take website backup? How frequently?
  10. How you take database backup? How frequently? Can you create a batch file to take full database backup?
  11. How do you access old user data backup?
  12.  Is there any data still lying on old user’s machine?
